The antique lace color has just the right amount of iridescence to make them dressy or casual. I accidentally bought the wrong size online and Moosejaw was so helpful exchanging them in the store for the right size. Great service!

The thong of the shoe was uncomfortable as well as the fabric that was holding the thong was shaped differently that what is shown on the photo. Don't buy the pink iridescent color. For me they were not great quality and I hate to say it but you get what you pay for.

They are so supportive and comfortable (once broken in), which I have especially appreciated over the last year because I've had plantar fasciitis. They are stylish, too, and don't feel as clunky to me as some of the other Birkenstock styles.

I've been wonderfully blessed with flat/weak arches, heels that want to collapse inward like the stick that broke the camels back, and the oh-so horrid second toe that is longer than the big toe. Makes it hard to find shoes, especially sandals, that dont give off geriatric or cavemen vibes, no offense. Of course I went through the cheaper options, I'm only human. I dont think Im one to drag my feet, but after a few months most of the soles of my sandals were non-existent. Slipping on the stairs and going down like a sack of potatoes gave me quite the obvious epiphany that maybe, just maybe, there's something else out there that dont cause my toes to clamp down like falcon talons anytime I walk on tile for fear of public humiliation. After years of hearing hippies praise the holy Birkenstocks I thought I'd give them a try and see if it felt like I was walking on the clouds straight to heaven. Being the rebel I am, I went leather. Hope that still gets me in the club, as I'm sure most wear vegan. I've recently jumped on the Moosejaw wagon and it's been a good ride so far. I suppose I'll also admit Im a sucker for rewards (thanks Moosejaw for finding my kryptonite). So naturally, I rationalized to myself that I wasn't "really" spending that much on a pair of shoes. Enough rambling. Anyways, I was like a kid at Christmas when the package came. I slid on my little heaven walkers, and.....whoa. They keep my heels and arches in check like a Navy Seal drill sergeant, and that lonely long toe can join the rest of the piggies, safely tucked inside the front lip of the shoe. Throw a little polish and BAM, feet that look like I'm intentionally letting them out of sneaker confinement. Guess the moral of the story is.....trust a hippie?

These sandals work perfectly for my situation. There is a break-in period. At first, the soles are stiff. If you follow the instructions and wear them around the house for a couple of weeks, they will shape into an exact fit. Love these.

• Birkenstock footwear is made and offered in European sizes.

• Women's Birkenstock Narrow size is the US width equivalent of A - B.

• Women's Birkenstock Regular size is the US width equivalent of C - D.

• Before wearing your new Birkenstocks, put one hand under the toe and one under the heel, then flex the footbed a few times. This will initiate the break in period and will your help your new sandals feel comfy sooner.

• Open all straps and step into the footbed. Close the straps comfortably, leaving enough space to allow your feet the freedom of movement.

• For the first five or six times you wear your new footwear, limit the time to just a few hours. This allows your feet and body to gradually get used to the contoured arch support as well as the straps and buckles.
