The Big Agnes Tufly SL2+ Tent is a superlight tent with plenty of space. Oversized with steep side walls and two doors, you'll be kicking back at camp and relaxing in no time after a long day on the trails. The upper features enough mesh to let in a cool breeze, while adding enough privacy up the sides to change your shirt. The rain fly is really special, as it not only protects from the rainstorms, but creates two vestibules. Not only that, the vestibule can be set up as a large single door, or a dual sided option. Rated 1 out of 5 by from Pools water on top. I bought a Tuffly SL2 before going on a 2 week wild-fire detail. I first set the tent up at home on flat grass. It worked well when only used in the yard. When I arrived on my fire assignment we were immediately sent out to the bush. Before setting up the tent I chainsawed out a pad and pulaskied the area to remove any roots. I could not landscape the area perfectly flat because I only had so much time. When I went to bed (tent) I realized that the washtub floor pan would not set up right. The next day I attempted to straighten out the tent. Not matter how I adjusted the stakes there were always areas of the tent walls that sagged. To me this wasn't big deal. The deal breaker came a couple days into the trip. Rain started during the third night (yes we fight wildfire in the rain). The Tuffly has 2 top poles that support the rainfly and give the tent its shape. Unfortunately the two poles create depressions in the rainfly above the doors. With heavy rainfall these depressions fill with water. By morning you can potentially have a gallon or 2 on top of your tent. This creates 2 problems. First, my tent started to slowly leak through the fly, onto me and my gear. Secondly, when I would open either door in the morning the water would tend to pour into the vestibule and soak me or my stuff. Overall, I was disappointed with the performance of the Tuffly SL2. Currently, I have 2 other Big Agnes tents that are quite stellar in rainstorms. Unfortunately the other 2 tents are too large to justify carrying with me when I'm on a fire assignment. I bought the Tuffly because I figured it would perform as well as the other 2 tents, while cutting down on weight and space. This was not the case considering how much water it collected. Since I was on a 2 week fire assignment I had no choice but to use the tent for the duration.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Survived an Iceland wind storm! I needed a high quality tent for my summer Iceland trip where our photography group would be camping around the lsland so we could be close to all the beautiful places we wanted to capture in the best light possible. Full disclosure - I'm not much of a camper but after this trip and how well this tent performed, I have been reformed. The tent is super easy to set up given the color coding on the poles and tent straps and the inside was very roomie and had all kinds of netting pockets to store your loose objects. One reviewer said they had problems with water pooling on the rain fly but I didn't run across that during my 9 days of being...basically, wet. I'm proud to say this tent survived a wind storm with sustained winds of 85 mph and gusts of up to 115, but one of the MSR tents we had was not so lucky. Even one of the expedition style tents had bent poles, but not this one. The one criticism I have is that I had to purchase the ground cloth/footprint separately. At this price, it really should have been included. But definitely, don't skimp on that. The ground cloth really saved the day for me.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love my Tufly 2! I love this tent! I am a mom to several Boy Scout Eagles, and after raising 4 boys and a daughter my youngest son finally made it to Boy Scouts and This Mom of 6 went camping for the first time in my life at the age of 55! I loved it!!!!! So I searched for my own tent and after a friend, who is our Scoutmaster also, showed me the features of his Big Agnes tent I checked them out and settled on the Tufly 2! No complaints except for one and it's silly. I wish I could see out the side when laying down. I get the privacy sides, but for me when the fly is down it's private. So taking the mesh down lower so I could wake up and see the sights without sitting up would rock! But, this tent is awesome, I have the MTN Glo lights, love those too!! I recommend this tent!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Good features but fatal flaw Nice headroom, tons of mesh pockets. BUT WATER POOLS ON THE TOP OF THE FLY! Avoid like the plague if you live in a rainy area. Complete deal breaker in my mind.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love it! I had the MSR Hubba Hubba, which I was VERY happy with, and for various reasons, I was looking for something new. I came across this beauty. After weeks of going back and forth between this and another MSR Hubba Hubba, I chose the Big Agnes Tufly. Aside from the cosmetic differences (and the story behind the craftsmanship featured on the Big Agnes website), this one was slightly more spacious, has built in nooks and crannies to hold small gear, has hooks I could easily hang an interior lantern on, and the vestibule on the backside has just the right amount of space with easy access from the interior and the exterior. One of the best features this tent has, which isn't common among lightweight tents, is the option to create an awning over the entry point (use your trekking poles). I never realized how much I missed having that feature until I finally had that. I love MSR, but for a change, I am VERY happy I went with this tent. Backpacking through Shenandoah at the end of September, I stayed dry and set up was a breeze. You aren't able to roll the fly back - it's an all or nothing deal, but if you roll up your awning, you can have great views of the night sky.
