Rated 4 out of 5 by from A few issues but overall a good tent. I'm 2 months into a season of fieldwork in Idaho, and I've used this tent pretty much every night. The tent is really quick to set up, and even though two of the corners need to be staked out, I haven't had any issues with that. It works great with two people - less roomy than some other tents, but not unreasonably so. The fly seems to work pretty well, although I've only used it in rain a couple times. The zipper on the fly does catch really easily, which is a little worrying because the fly is very lightweight material, which cuts down on weight but seems like it could rip easily. One night the fly collected some water just below the peak of the tent, and it was starting to drop through after a full night of rain, but I haven't had issues with that since then, and it seems that it can be avoided by tightening the fly. The bottom of the tent is totally waterproof on its own (to the point that when I left it set up with no fly in the rain, there was an inch of water in the bottom that didn't drain out until I turned the tent upside down), but I would recommend buying the optional footprint to protect it from sticks and rocks. This is a small thing, but the color of the tent makes the inside feel very warm and bright when sun comes in (I've never had a fly that keeps any useful amount of light out anyway, so the color of the light coming in was a pleasant surprise). Plus, I study big cats and other carnivores, so the name of the tent was a bonus as well!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Almost there ! Has some flaws. Used this in the high country of Wyoming, it’s light weight was the sole reason I purchased it. Had I known of some of its issues I might not have. The biggest one for me is that it condensates horribly even with the top fly down a bit (which would be useless in the rain) There’s too many fixed length guylines making it hard to stake out at some locations, and I don’t feel the little dual lines at the foot end really add that much space to the end of the tent body. The fly is also too close here and will get the tent body wet with condensation. The fly tie back and access is too short making it more difficult to get in/out. The dual zipper is hard to get used to, it would be nice if one of the pulls was a different color so you could tell easily which one you were tugging on. The fly color is way too bright for my taste but others may like it. I would accept a few more ounces in weight for better adjustable guylines, ventilation, and maybe a slightly thicker floor.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Needs improvement Used this in the back country of Wyoming, The good - it is really light and the floor is tougher than I expected. The bad- it condensates horribly ( and I had the fly top zipped down a bit ) and the foot end of the fly touches the mesh body making it wet also. I don't really see that there is that much extra space provided by the foot end dual guylines. There's no adjustment to many of the guylines. The fly ties back too short for good entry/ exit. Jury is still out on the dual door zippers, it would be nice if the upper zipper pull was a different color than the bottom one. Several times I found myself tugging at the wrong one because they both meet at the same place. The fly color is way too bright for me but others might like that. It was the super light weight that prompted me to buy this tent, but I would gladly accept a few more ounces for a better fly access, all adjustable guylines, and ventilation.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice tent but few issues I am using this tent now to thru hike the PCT. It works well for myself but can't imagine having two people. I am 6' 2" and my head and feet hit the walls. The big beef is with the rain fly tie. It does not hold the fly up high enough. Also it would be nice if there was some ties for the mesh screen

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for Two I got to test the Tiger Wall for a few weeks while hiking the CDT and I have to say I was impressed! I think this tent is perfect for people who want to share a tent. It has doors on both sides which allows great accessibility for two. The Fly Creek for example has front entry only, which is perfect for a solo hiker, but a bit cumbersome for two. The Tiger Wall solves that problem while still being completely stormproof and lightweight as ever! And of course, it doesn't slack on looks!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Tiger Wall UL2 Review I used the Tiger Wall UL2 on my Colorado Trail thru-hike. It's lightweight, durable with a fast and easy set up. Easy to get in and out. It's very spacious, especially for one person, and has plenty of headroom when sitting up. I got rain and hail almost every day and had zero problems keeping dry (I wasn't using a footprint). It also dried out very quickly and didn't trap a lot of moisture on the inside of the fly.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Double Doors makes a great circus hoop. I'm lazy, so I prefer things that are lightweight if I must carry them. Being lazy, I'd rather not deal with stakes. I usually rely on my own weight to hold a tent in place on the earth, so freestanding is a must. The Tiger Wall does this. Two pads fit great and fill out the bottom corners that don't have any pole tension. It's pretty good for an easy set up on a rock in the backcountry, or in a parking lot after you're tired of driving somewhere. I also hate crawling over or being crawled over by stinky tent mates. Having two side doors solves this problem, and if you leave them both open it creates a fun object for dogs to run through. It is a little tight with 2 people and a Labrador, but you can't ask for a much more in a UL 2 person, 2 door, freestanding tent.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Light and fast I recently used the TW UL2 on a 5-day bike trip down the west coast of California. We carried everything on our bikes and camped 3 out of the 4 nights. It is the lightest tent I've ever used, which we needed to keep the weight on the bikes low. The nights were calm, so I can't attest to how the tent performs in high winds or variable conditions. No instructions needed to set up the tent, zippers top-notch, stakes ultra-light.

Is this a double wall tent?

Asked by: JadeMoon
Hey Jademoon! The Big Anges Tiger Wall is a double wall, dome style tent! Rule of thumb is pretty much if you have a tent that has a removable rain fly, it is a double wall. Even if the tent's walls are made primarily of mesh. Some manufacturers try to use "hybrid", etc, but if you see that a tent can have the rain fly tucked away (not permanently attached) when weather permits, it will be considered a double wall.
