Rated 5 out of 5 by from I would definitely buy this pad again Just came back from a three day bike backpacking trip. This pad saved me for sure and allowed for a good nights rest. Much better then any other pad I have used in the past. Very compact and light weight and I have the biggest pad.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best sleeping pad! I had a therm-a-rest self inflating for years. It worked fine, and did the job. I was in the market for something new, when my sister told me how much she likes her Big Agnes sleeping pad. After reading reviews, I decided to purchase this one. 100% worth it. I spent 3 nights back packing Grand Canyon and used this, followed up with a few nights of car camping. So comfortable to sleep on. Easily can sleep on stomach, back and even on your side. Pad deflates about 1-2 breathes worth throughout the night. Takes about 30 breathes to inflate fully. I liked that you can stop inflating it and you don't have to worry about air leaking out. Deflates very quickly and packs up small. My sister and our friend we hiked with both tried my pad out and now are convinced they need an upgrade as well. Also will add, this was very quiet. I was a little worried after reading a few reviews and knowing that the Therm-a-rest version of this is known to be very loud. I would say this is very quiet. Would recommend this to anyone looking to upgrade their sleeping pad and get a great nights sleep while in the back country.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this pad!!!! Recently took this baby out on two stents in Sawatch Range and was amazed at how well this pad performed. The first was a 3-day trip summiting Missouri Mountain with a few first-time 14ers and the second was a 2-day trip summiting Mount Shavano with my wife. While my wife and I tested our matching pads sleeping on our deck a few times earlier this summer, these 2 summits were the first times they were actually "out in the wild". If you get a chance to summit Missouri, def take in the West Ridge approach and stay a night at Clohesy Lake. Some of the best views I've seen hiking in the Rockies. Okay back to the review... I hiked in close to 40 lbs at Missouri and by about the 2nd mile I was already starting to consider whether I had made the right choice with this pad. It's insulated, super thick, extra durable and crazy comfy which means it's heavier than other pads on the market. After my first night sleeping on it, those second thoughts quickly vanished. This thing kept me warm in 40 degree temps, made me feel like I was cradled by a pillowy cloud and left me plenty of room in my tent. Hiking Missouri we had plenty of time to stake out the perfect spots for our tents, but there were a few good sized rocks that I couldn't move from the ground and ended up pitching my tent on top of. Shavano we weren't so lucky and had to quickly set up our tent before the rain soaked us. I know we were on rocks and sticks and pine cones because I could feel them before we aired these things up. I do have a footprint for my tent so there were 2 layers of protection between the ground and my pad which may have helped. Regardless, this pad took all the beating I could give it as I'm a horribly restless sleeper. Add to that my habit of plopping down on my pad or wrestling all over the place fiddling with my gear and you have the perfect storm for a punctured pad. Not with this thing!!!! I mentioned that it kept me warm in 40 degree temps. It may have dropped below 40 but it didn't freeze enough to leave frost on the rainfly. Many will think 40 degrees isn't really that cold. But I have a 25 degree bag (lower limit rating) that is probably closer to a 40 degree comfort rating. I slept in my bag in my underwear (not long underwear) and a t-shirt and was warm all night. The prima loft insulation in this thing is the real deal. The wider, outer baffles kept me from rolling off and the extra thickness was a true dream for my back. I slept on my back, side and for a moment even on my stomach and didn't bottom out once. That was even after I'd let a little air out. The 2-valve set up on this pad is awesome. Pair it with a Big Agnes Pumphouse and you can get the perfect amount of inflation without blowing yourself out after hiking all day. Super easy to top off in the middle of the night if you're too flat or vent a little air out if you're too firm. If you're ok trekking in a few extra ounces, this thing is worth it!!! Even better yet is that Big Agnes reps the hell out of their stuff. They have an amazing warranty and repair policy if anything ever happens to your gear and it is seamless. Kizzy is a Customer Service SUPERSTAR!! Love this company and their gear. If you haven't tried them yet, you need to.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from More comfortable than most motel beds I first slept on this pad as a demo at the 2017 REI Outessa event in Kirkwood CA. It seemed nice when I was blowing it up, but I had never slept on a sleeping pad that I particularly loved so I wasn't expecting much. I slept better on that pad than I have in real beds! There's something about the quilted top that is both warm, but also a nice material so your sleeping bag doesn't slide around on it all the time. Because the quilted top is warm and a nice material, when it's warmer outside and I don't need to be cozied down into my bag, I sleep directly on the pad with the sleeping bag as a blanket!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A++++-+ Bought the 25" wide long pad for a one week semi roughing it scouting event. Stayed blown up tight and comfortable the entire time inserted in my Big A Buffalo Park. The minus in the title is for the rolled up size and weight. It is what it is I suppose.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Comfort A+ Sleeping in the dirt never felt so good! I have had this pad for years and is my go-to on every adventure. The ONLY downside is it takes a lot of breathe to blow up which isn't much of a downside if you ask me.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from GREAT PAD I have used these pads for over a year - probably 40-50 nights slept outside. They are very comfortable and work very well with the BA sleeping bag sleeve design - which keeps you from rolling off the pad. For an insulated pad, they roll to a compact size. Definitely a good pad!

Does this pad have an R-value?

Asked by: moquiti
Hey there moquiti, really good question! Unfortunately, I wasn't able to find an exact R-value for this model sleeping pad. After looking at a couple other, very similar models, I could safely tell you that the R-value for this pad is somewhere between 4.5 - 5. Hope this helps!
