Rated 5 out of 5 by from all your bags are belong to us and ceiling cat too DownTek™ is a fancy name and is apropros considering the 650-fill-power down repels water by employing nanotechnology, a proprietary process that applies a micro-thin polymer to the down, and ...big words, blah, blah. Website says it can float in water, but I can honestly say it won’t work as I was soaking wet and almost drowned. I tried to find their verticals chamber, but ended up poking holes...so don’t try that either! Regardless, great bag, good price, lightweight for backpacking, and has a zipper.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from dissapointed with temp rating. Made for a cold thru hike. I bought this bag for a thru hike of the Colorado Trail. Our coldest weather in 5 weeks was just above freezing. I'm a warm sleeper and I was quite often cold. I'd rate this bag at around 35f. Also the bag constantly leaked down which stuck to my clothes and the tent. I've used big agnes gear for years but I could not recommend this bag and will not be using it on my thru hike of the Arizona trail in October.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great bag! I am using this bag for a season of field work in Idaho. I camp every night, and so far have been very satisfied. The temperature has dropped down into the twenties several nights and I've been very comfortable. I LOVE the sleeping pad sleeve. I move around a lot when I sleep but the attached pad keeps me in place really well, and is both warmer and more comfortable than no sleeve. The one problem is that it's less useful as a blanket, but the benefits more than outweigh that small cost. The bag is also just as roomy as advertised, and definitely feels more like a down quilt than a sleeping bag. My only complaint is that the hood is somewhat small, but that's a pretty minor problem. This is a small thing, but the fabric adjacent to the zipper is slightly stiff, which does a great job of preventing the zipper from ever getting stuck.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Super comfy I have had the lost ranger since early winter 2017. It pairs great with a BA insulated sleeping pad. This is a winter only bag for me for temps as low as upper 20's. I do not mind the extra weight for added comfort. I am a side sleeper and this bag works great for side sleepers. I truly feel like a king sleeping in this winter bag set up. Really like the sleeve for the pad, and pad as your insulator instead of the down on bottom side of bag. Regular size works great a 6 feet tall. In the warmer months I use an alternative bag for less insulation and to reduce pack weight.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great. Exactly as described. I don’t like typical mummy bags. This bag has Plenty of room so I don’t feel confined. Another well made bag from big Agnes. My second from them. Keeps me warm.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Meets expectations Used this as late spring, summer, early fall. Sleeps comfortably with a sleeping pad at around 35 degrees. Anything lower than that baselayers are needed. Plan to have this bag for a while. Happy with my purchase.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Not used yet but hopeful Always hang your sleeping bag. Do not store in stuff sack. That's said, I haven't used this bag yet but I got into it with my sleeping pad tucked into the built sleeve and I am happy with the purchase. Cozy and warm and the no pad sleeve should be standard for all hiking bags.

Is this a good bag to use with a hammock? Or does the integrated lad cause issues?

Asked by: JRanney
HIya JRanney, thanks for your question! This bag would totally work with a hammock. The trick is to experiment to get the right amount of air in the sleeping pad. You might need to under-inflate it to center your body and keep the pad and bag from sliding around. Hope this helps!
