Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great tent but.... I've spent a lot of time researching tents and on paper, Fly Creek (and incredibly expensive footprint) has been the clear and obvious choice. Well, I had bought it for a trip with a couple buddies to Berg Lake for a rainy weekend. Normally this wouldn't be an issue, but unfortunately I had the Fly Creek which was not entirely waterproof and I enjoyed a wet weekend. The floor of the tent proved to be not very waterproof, the interior floor of the tent was soaked by the end of the trip. I have an upcoming trip to the West Coast of Canada and I will have to get another tent to handle the job. The Fly Creek is set up in my basement drying off and once it is dry I am returning it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Home Away From Home Not only does this pack incredibly small and light, the easy accessibility is the best thing to come "home" to after a long day of adventuring. Easy set up and clean up by yourself. The design of the tent was well thought. Only complaint is the mesh netting. After only a weeks use of everyday use, I began to see little tears in the mesh. I guess there is a possibility they got there after my clean up but I did use gentle care. Overall, great tent and great investment!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Super tent ! I love it! Thanks for this tent, it is a super tent and I love it! I used it during a long hike between Chamonix and Zermatt (Switzerland), 10 days with my dog ; it was the perfect balance between weight and comfort and very easy to set up. Only one comment regarding the fragile fabric used for the floor (body part), my dog ripped the fabric 3 times...but I really understand the difficult balance between lightness and resistance during the design process! The global weight is really perfect :) There is any possibility to buy a new 'body'? Cause all other components are ok. Thanks in advance for your help! BR. /Pauline

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Zippers! Great until its not. Absolutely loved this tent from the moment I got it, but as the tent rounds a few years of use, the lightweight components and fabric are QUICKLY deteriorating. As a few costumers have noted, the zippers are one of the first things to go. In addition, I agree that the rain fly zipper is really really hard to not get caught in the fly material, especially in the middle of the night when nature calls. One of my mesh zippers has given up the ghost (luckily there are 2) and the rain fly zipper has caused numerous holes in the fly, but that was mitigated with one long piece of Tenacious tape. Secondly the floor material is super prone to holes.. even with a ground cloth. I would still recommend this tent because it was waterproof and LIGHT for the time it worked. but I can only give it 3/5 starts for its lack of longevity.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Disappointed in size! I use this tent for backpacking and for work on a trail crew in the Sierras. It is lightweight and some what free standing which is why I bought it. The biggest con is I thought I would have an extra 5 inches to spare but my feet are pretty much poking out of the tent! I am 6'7" which is 79 inches in the diagram it says 86 inches long which I have a hard time believing. I wish I would have gone with the copper spur platinum but now I'm invested in the fly creek.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Well Tested I love this tent and have slept in it over 200 times in the past year. It has not seen much rain as most of it's use has been in the desert but it has done well through the few storms I have seen. My only complaint about this tent is that about 3-4 of my guy lines have snapped under very little pressure or moderate wind. I've woken up in the middle of a small storm with the fly stuck to my tent because of snapped guy lines. I have loved this tent between it's light weight, packability, easy set up and take down, full mesh top to view the stars, amazing pocket locations, and mild color scheme... but the guy lines are extremely important and have failed me on multiple instances. Still highly recommend this tent but bring some spairs!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Beware Of The Zippers I bought this tent 2 years ago at my local REI because I was needing a lighter tent for extended backpacking with lots of elevation gain. I agree that this tent sets up rather easily, has adequate room, and withstands wind and rain fairly well. Unfortunately, the zipper on the rainfly has given me trouble since the first time I used it. In the middle of the night, when nature calls, it gets stuck while trying to exit the tent. Sometimes I can get it unstuck but most of the time it's a no go when I badly have to go. It seems the weather flap gets caught in the outside zipper glide as you are unzipping it from the inside. Nothing that I've tried has fixed this problem other than keeping the fly unzipped all night. I'm so frustrated with it that I'm going to take it to a local canvas repair facility to see if I can get a better zipper installed. I'd give this tent 5 stars if it wasn't for this cheap zipper.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect tent for this solo hiker I work at an outdoor retail store in Montana. My coworker urged me to consider this tent and I'm glad I did. My first time using it in the mountains it kept me dry and comfortable in a mountain snow/ice storm. Roomy for one, light, easy to set up and bone dry. This tent is another reason I trust Big Agnes and recommend them to my customers.
