All users must accept these terms and conditions and create an account with Moosejaw to opt-in to the program and earn, accrue, retain and redeem Moosejaw Reward Dollars (MJ$). The program is FREE to join and membership is ongoing until or unless the user requests to be removed or is removed due to abuse of the program. Users can opt-in to the program while checking out on Moosejaw.com or at one of our stores or at any time within 30 days of purchase to accrue the MJ$ earned on that purchase. Once opted-in to the program, MJ$ will earn and accrue for redemption as described below until the MJ$ expire or the user leaves the program.

Existing program members prior to that date must still formally opt-in and accept the terms and conditions to continue to retain, earn and redeem MJ$. Pre-existing program members that fail to opt-in prior to June 28, 2020 will be removed from the program, and any unused MJ$ will be voided. Nude Beach the hiker from
Not for a thur hikerI'm struggling to see where this tent would find a home. I figured the ultralight weight would make it a good thur-hiker tent, but I was wrong. I had a regular Fly Creek when I hiked the PCT and it worked great, I didn't have any issues even without using a foot print. I purchased this tent for my CDT thur hike, I also bought a footprint to use with it since I read it was more fragile then other models. At first the new Carbon Fly Creek worked great, although I noticed it was way too easy for the tent body and rainfly to touch, which makes it easy to transfer condensation to the body of the tent. Most likely this was an issue caused by cutting weight, as my older model didn't seem to have this issue. The biggest issue which I would say makes this tent unusable is the floor. After 2 months on trail I noticed my floor wetting out. At first I thought this was an issue with condensation, as I could see no damage to the floor and I was using my footprint and carefully picking camping spots that were clear of anything I wouldn't want to set my tent on. Despite all the extra work and time to protect the floor I have multiples leaks. You can't see them, but if I press a towel against the floor when it's raining I could see multiple spots of water slowly coming into the tent. It's gotten so bad that the whole inside floor is wet. This shouldn't be happening after 2 months of careful use, especially on a tent this expensive. I'm hiking with multiple people that are using the zpacks tents without footprints and they don't seem to be having any issues with their floors. I'm in the middle of trying to get it replaced as a defective product, but the first email I had received from Big Agnes so far just lists the repair prices and costs of sending it in. Needing to spend more money on a product I feel was not worth the cost, was not what I wanted to hear when contacting the company.

If you need ultralight then this is greatFirst it's probably best to say that this is a very niche product. The whole intention is for it to be as light and compact as humanly possible so realistically there has to be a compromise in durability. The DCF fabric is crazy-crazy light and thin, being DCF it's remarkably strong for how light it is but it's not the same a standard weight tent in terms of durability... you do need to be careful with it. Pitching is an absolute breeze, dimensions all seemed spot on so a nice tight pitch was super easy. I can't remember a tent which had a cleaner, tighter pitch than this. One fairly amusing side effect of the crazy light weigh is pitching in a breeze and turning your back on the tent will see it drift away in the wind if it's not staked down first! It's certainly a tight 2 person tent, i.e you'd want to be good friends with the other person but if you're buying this overall comfort probably isn't your primary concern. I was most recently using it for a bikepacking trip and with a bit of wiggling I could get the road bike inside on rainy nights (with the wheels off). The ability to pitch just the fly is super nice for overnighters, making for a seriously crazy light package. The included tent pegs are nice but at around 10g a piece it's likely you'd want to swap most of them out for some titanium ones to keep the crazy-light theme going. From reading other reviews on this I think the main thing to keep in mind is whether you really NEED a freakishly light tent. There are compromises on durability to get the weight as low as it is so it does need a bit of extra care... so if you don't need the lightest thing in the world then i'd recommend getting the standard version or something a bit more durable... BUT - if you're in the fairly specific use case of needing something that is insanely light, this is by far the best option that I've come across.

50, 50My first night using tent I didn't have a footprint and promptly put a 1/2 hole in the floor near the door, granted, there was a flat rock underneath where puncture occurred. Super light weight, I use the fly creek hv ul2 at work (FS) and that is a much tougher tent, I don't have to use a foot print. The carbon tent is superlight and I have been using the 4 ounce footprint. I camped for 9 nights in Gates of the Arctic, have to be gently with tent. One night was over 2" of rain and I had puddles in tent, but with that kind of rain it's to be expected to get wet. It did well in high winds. I sprayed silicon waterproof on floor of tent and was out in another huge rainstorm and tent did well. Would not want to share tent, the 2 person is good for one person. Tent fly on bottom half tends to stick to the tent. I wouldn't be able to take either of my dogs in this tent as fabric is too lightweight and would get torn quickly. Overall I like the tent but for the price don't think I would purchase it again.

This is the tent I've been looking forI've been looking for the perfect tent for years and huzzah I finally found it! The only other tents in this weight category are single-wall and non-freestanding tents and though I've tried many of them in an effort to save weight, no matter what I did, I always ended up with puddles of water inside the tent in the morning. No thanks. But this one is perfect--semi-free standing, double-wall, quick and easy to set up, roomy for one and large enough for two, and best of all, barely over a pound. I've only had the chance to use it on one three-day trek so far, but it got put to the test when the temps dropped into the low 20s and it rained on us but we stayed completely dry and warm. With just one door it's a little less convenient than a two-door tent if you're with a friend, but for me the weight savings are more than worth it. Also, everything just *works*--the zippers don't snag on the fabric, the clips are easy to engage and disengage, the interior pocket is in the right place. It's just a great piece of gear and I can't wait to use it again on my next trip!

Lots To Like, But Not For MeI'm 6'6" and own a BA Tumble 1. Tried the Fly Creek Carbon 2 because I wanted more room and to lighten up from the 4 lb+ Tumble 1. Pros: *This thing is as light AF! Every component is thoughtfully engineered for weight savings. Loved this! *Carbon poles rock! Huge difference maker. *Dyneema was great! Used on the AT in PA for 4 nights, and the fabric and mesh held up fine. *Tiny in my pack even with footprint, fly and stakes. *Dries fast! Cons: *This is really a 1P tent. I was hittin' fabric from stem to stern and had it fully guyed out the whole time. The AT in summer is buggy and I had to keep the door zipped so could not stick my head out. *Incredibly Stuffy! This tent does NOT breathe! No vents and the body mesh allows very little air flow. The AT is wet in summer so rain fly is necessary. I started most evenings without the fly and still could not cool down even when camping high on a ridge with a breeze. The mesh blocked the breeze too much. Had to use the rain fly later each night and thus was way too hot and muggy. Not nearly as breathable as my Tumble 1. This is the biggest negative factor for me and the number 1 reason why I am returning it. If it is used in the high desert or Sierras or someplace a little cooler and drier, it might be perfect, but not summertime AT which is the use for which I purchased it. *Tight body/fly spacing and lack of venting caused condensation build-up every night, so woke up with parts of my sleeping bag wet and clothes remained somewhat humid. Could be solved with a vent in the fly. Slower starts to the day due to dry time. Conclusion: Will try the Copper Spur and accept the extra 2 lb penalty in exchange for a breathable, true 2P tent. Still loyal to BA as always but this one simply does not meet my needs for size and weather conditions. May be perfect for others though! Now, about those Easton carbon poles...Hey BA: any way I can get some custom-made for my soon-to-be purchased Copper Spur?

Where are the pullouts??Ok, this is my 3rd Big Agnes Fly Creek 2. I have a regular, a HV2 & now the HV2 Carbon but why, why, WHY is there no attachments to the center of the sloping sides that clip on to the fly so it can be pulled out to crest real estate. I'm hugely disappointed and considering returning it. Other than this very BIG flaw, it's a great tent.

other colour option neededThe product it self seems to be really nice, but for those who do not want to bee seen from far away there should be an green colour option with green inner tent and green fly. And maybe an additional mesh door, than I sure would buy one.
