The Arc'teryx Men's Konseal FL Shoe is a comfortable approach shoe that provides cushioning and support for carrying moderate sized loads. Combining minimal design with lightweight yet tough materials, this shoe will have you feeling both fleet footed and protected while traversing the mountains. The Vibram® Megagrip outsole provides solid traction over wet or dry surfaces to have you charging through every steep talus slope with confidence. The flat climbing section under the toe enables smearing and edging on more technical routes, and the square shaped heel helps when braking on descents. With a clean, toned down style, you probably won't want to take these off when you head to town.

I typically wear size 10 shoes, so I bought 10 and they were very big. I compared them with my size 10 5.10 shoes, and a friend of mines Arc’teryx shoes (different model) and they were noticeably bigger. I have no repurchased the shoes as I am not sure what size I should get. I plan to buy them in the KC store

Rated 4 out of 5 by Sasquatch Tool from Comfortable Shoe These shoes are comfortable right out of the box and did not require a real break in period. The reason I gave them 4 stars is the tongue of the right shoe is already fraying and they are just 2 weeks and a few wears out of the box. I haven't gone hiking in them yet, but while testing them by walking on rocks, haven't been able to really feel them too much through the soles. Overall a good shoe and good purchase

Rated 5 out of 5 by Bent from Light and tough Out-of-the-box I was surprised how light these shoes are given how tough the soles and rand are. I've found them narrower than other brands in the same size, which suits me fine as I have narrow feet. The sole is grippy and supportive. That said, they've take a little bit of wearing in for me as the sole is relatively stiff compared to a running shoe. I like the loops on the tongue and heel as they make it easier to get them on. I got the Shark/Utility colour and think the grey fabric has a bit of a purplish-blue tinge to it in daylight.

Within two weeks of scrambling and light 5.3-5.4 climbs, the right shoe started delaminating, and the left shoe wore a hole in the fabric at the toe cap. The rubber is great and handles slab approaches well. The shoe is not stiff compared to other approach models and has difficulty edging on smaller nubs and jibs.
