Rated 5 out of 5 by from The best running shoes I've ever owned I have really wide feet and I have so much trouble finding shoes. These are the absolute best I have ever owned. I put about 20-24 miles a week on them. I'm so happy, I don't even care about the salmon color.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from COLORS are not airport worthy! Come on! These colors are not right. Did everyone on the sales team get together a laughing while choosing these colors? a joke on consumers? Come on. Look at On Running for ideas of colors. I need Altra for the zero drop which is why I'm complaining. Come on. And seeing the other comments I'm not the only one here.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great running shoe These shoes are great, I have run 4 marathons and was having some patellar tendinitis so was looking for a zero drop shoe. I have put in over 200 miles in these shoes, my first pair of altras, and my knee pain has significantly subsided (along with some strength training which these are great shoes for that too). I would definitely recommend for serious runners/marathoners. Great Shoe!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from THE best road shoes Amazing comfort: wide toe box allows spread, but still locked in at midfoot and heel (I have relatively narrow feet). Good to go out of the box, no break-in period. The upper is mostly mesh and from pics I was worried it might be too much like the escalantes where the uppers were like wearing a sock: amazingly comfortable for daily kicks, but when it came to running I slipped all over the place with any lateral movement and really needed more structure. These Provisions have a light, breathable mesh upper AND do provide that support. Good level of cushion for me - makes higher mileage comfortable yet doesn't feel super squishy. The tread is true road tread, so do not recommend for trails or hybrid terrain. Love these, might get another pair now since I never want them to change.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Had an arch I have been wearing the Escalantes for years. They are zero everything, roomy toe box, etc. I wanted to try a shoe with alittle more cushion for work. I am a healthcare worker, spending 12 hours on my feet. This shoe has some arch in it. Small but there. My feet were aching quite a bit. I thought I would let other "barefoot" people like me know about this :) still an Altra only wearer, just not this one

I've developed bunions, flat feet, over-pronation, and I have a greek toe and was experiencing terrible pain that precluded me from doing all the things that are important to me. A trip to a podiatrist, a shot in my left foot, and the recommendation to always wear shoes/sandals with all the supports. Once the shot worked and the terrible pain subsided by using inserts, I purchased these shoes and took them to my hip-hop dance class (yep, hip-hop, I'm 53 years old and this is a recent hobby!) and I was able to get through that class with ZERO pain or residual pain. I'm saving these shoes for indoor workouts and dance class and will probably buy more to wear outside as regular footwear.
