I hate the color (black) but in canada all i can find is black -it is worth the comfort for the lack of color. I have been a Hoka only for years -but these are my new go to.

I've tried other supportive shoes with a wider toe box (NB, Brooks, Bogs, Blundstones, Keen...). These Altra's are my go-to favorites for everything (I'm on my 3rd pair). I'm active & walk quite a bit daily, so they get a lot of use. They are durable, sturdy, supportive, fit very well & provide a wide enough/flexible enough toe box for bunions. (I have not had an issue with the tongue or sole as mentioned by another reviewer.) Love these shoes!

So heavy, clunky and unbendable its like a runner's top on top of a hiking boot. As others have said the heel is way to wide and slips too. I was super disappointed as I wanted to have something else from Altra besides the Mont Blancs but this ain't it. I returned them and ordered a 3rd pair of Mont Blancs instead.

I returned them and decided not to invest in a larger pair as I would have had to go up a full size and I didn't want to risk that they would be too large. Looking elsewhere.
