Opting-in to Moosejaw Rewards:
All users must accept these terms and conditions and create an account with Moosejaw to opt-in to the program and earn, accrue, retain and redeem Moosejaw Reward Dollars (MJ$). The program is FREE to join and membership is ongoing until or unless the user requests to be removed or is removed due to abuse of the program. Users can opt-in to the program while checking out on Moosejaw.com or at one of our stores or at any time within 30 days of purchase to accrue the MJ$ earned on that purchase. Once opted-in to the program, MJ$ will earn and accrue for redemption as described below until the MJ$ expire or the user leaves the program.
All information collected and used to facilitate the Moosejaw Rewards program is directly related to the program's ability to provide value to the customer. A customer opting-in to the Moosejaw Rewards program is a separate action from establishing a user profile as a result of making a purchase.
The program opt-in requirement was added on August 6th, 2019. Existing program members prior to that date must still formally opt-in and accept the terms and conditions to continue to retain, earn and redeem MJ$. Pre-existing program members that fail to opt-in prior to June 28, 2020 will be removed from the program, and any unused MJ$ will be voided. We really, really don't want to that to happen, so please opt-in or we'll feel terrible.
Leaving Moosejaw Rewards Program:
You may choose to leave the Moosejaw Rewards program at any time by logging in and clicking on the “Opt out Rewards Program” link within the My Account Summary page, Email, calling 877-MOOSEJAW (877-666-7352) or in-store with help from our employees. If you leave the rewards program, any unused MJ$ will be voided upon completion of your request.
Earning MJ$:
All items we sell are eligible with the exception of gift cards or other items specifically noted. Full-priced items earn 10% back while discounted items earn 2.5%. "Discounted items" includes items on sale or discounted via coupon code or use of MJ$. You do not earn MJ$ for shipping or tax charges, only from the item value. MJ$ expire two years after earning and are redeemed on a first-in, first out basis (in other words, we always use your oldest MJ$ that are closest to expiration).
Checking & Redeeming MJ$:
On Moosejaw.com, just sign-in on any page to see your available balance. Once signed in, you will see your available MJ$ and maximum that can be redeemed in the payment section of the checkout process. In stores, provide the email address attached to your account to learn your balance and apply to your purchase. We will also send you a monthly email that details your balance and other account activity. This is a transactional email that you will receive even if you are not subscribed to our marketing emails.
Bonus Rewards Promotions:
Every so often, we'll have special offers where you can earn bonus MJ$, like an additional 10%, 20% or 40% back. So if we are running a 50% back special offer, and you buy a regular-priced item for $100.00, you will receive MJ$10.00 in base points, and a bonus of MJ$40. These special offers may have a cap on how many bonus MJ$ you earn during the promotion, but you will always earn the base Reward Dollars. MJ$ on Gift Cards:
You don't get earn MJ$ when you buy a gift card, but you do get MJ$ when you spend a gift card. Sorry gift givers. You're welcome gift receivers.
Product Returns and MJ$:
If you return an item, we deduct the MJ$ earned on that item from your balance. If you used the MJ$ and your balance is less than deduction, then your refund is reduced by the difference.

The intent of the program is to provide our loyal customers with a way to buy great gear for less. Not like other altra’sThere is virtually No padding around the ankle bone, the shoe is great but not if you have Boney ankles. My ankle got torn up and bruised because of faulty thick stitching and no padding on the inside ankle. I tried to wear thick wool socks to assist the padding but nothing worked for me.

Not the Lone Peak upgrade I was hoping for - painful!I've loved the Lone Peak mid hiker for a few years now, but manage to trash a pair every season. Despite other middling reviews, I decided to give these a go, as I was hoping for a more rugged hiking shoe in the Olympus. I put about 50 miles on these shoes in the first two weekends--lots of ascent, descent, on-trail and off-trail travel. The annoying pressure point at the ankle escalated into a constant pain that could only be relieved by unlacing and tying the shoe below the two highest eyelets, eliminating any ankle support. I tried different lacing techniques, tried giving them time for my feet to get used to them, but it didn't work. I'll be taking advantage of the 30-day return window (thanks, Altra, for that option!). Hopefully the next iteration improves on these design flaws.

GREAT!I bought these for hiking in Iceland, not knowing what to expect for weather or terrain. I could not have done some of trails without a good ankle support boot, or without the tread. Very impressed with comfort and construction. No break in period, my feet stayed warm and dry. Altra shoes will be my brand going forward. Can't thank you enough for making a wide toe base shoe!!!

LOVE Love love !!!Long time Altra devotee here- love the zero drop & wide toe box...Bought the Sand version last Fall for a long trip to Europe. They were just perfect, comfortable and most stylish- even garnered many Parisian compliments(!) They are best my cooler season shoes, and often used in the garden, handles dirt no problem!

Wish Altra can fix the zero dropI love Altra since the wide toe rooms helps with my bunions. However, the cushioning doesn't help after 14 miles.. Plus, I keep loosing my footing on steep slopes. The shoes performed great on regular terrains, but when going on a trail with many different terrains, it doesn't hold up to the job.

So Comfortable and Stylish!I typically size up a half size for hiking boots to account for slight swelling, but needed to go up a full size for this style. No problem with free & easy returns. After getting my correct size, these were GREAT for my first hike in them, covering lots of elevation and miles. Zero adjustment or break in period, just comfort and support. The GTX is up to standards. I got home from my hike in these and immediately ordered the Men's version for my partner and the regular walking shoe for every day use for myself! This is my favorite Altra style to date.

This boot could be greatI hike long hikes frequently, up to 15 miles at a shot. I love the grippiness of this boot sole. In summer we have hard, orange clay covered with small pebbles, that makes it feel like hiking on ball bearings. These boots perform well on this surface. But, these boots just aren't comfortable. They especially bind at the ankle, and the laces are too short to allow for an insert or orthotic. I will buy them again, because I like remaining upright while hiking, but dang, I wish you could make them more comfortable. And, could you please make them in a darker, earth-colored hue? The tan looks awful after a couple of hikes, and they don't clean well.

I'm about to purchase my second pairI hope this review will push this boot's overall rating up a bit. Like many other reviewers, I am a die hard Lone Peak fan, both the trail runners and boots, but needed something more waterproof and with more durable soles (I go through 3-4 pair of Lone Peak mid boots yearly and will continue to use in hot, dry weather). This Olympus 5 Hike Mid GTX has satisfied both requirements and will be my boot when I trek Scotland's West Highland Way this fall. When I first got the Olympus, I felt the ankle seam others complain of, but was easily able to overcome that with minor adjustment and have hiked hundreds of miles in them happily. It was such a trivial fix I don't even remember what I did! The boot offers more support on rough terrain but still has the zero drop and wide toe box I cherish in the Altra brand. I appreciate the longer-lasting Vibram sole. I recently had to do 22(!) nimble rock-hopping stream crossings on a longer hike and had all the flexible grippiness I could hope for and my feet stayed dry (as in I didn't even get the boots wet). On other hikes, I've stepped in water that would have left my feet sopping wet in my Lone Peaks, but though the water came up over the laces, my feet stayed dry. I have no problems with the tight ankle cleats and prefer them that way. Until I read a couple reviews complaining the back pull loop might catch on them, it never crossed my mind that could happen (would take some serious contortions!) and has not been a problem so far. If I must complain about something, I'd agree that Altra needs to be more generous with the laces. As with earlier model Lone Peak hikers, they are simply too short and I do have to wrangle to double-tie them, which I consider a must in any hiking footwear. This is an easy fix for Altra. All in all, I've worn them lots, love the boots and have no problem recommending them. I consider these boots winners.
