Rewards Program Terms and Conditions

Opting-in to Moosejaw Rewards:
All users must accept these terms and conditions and create an account with Moosejaw to opt-in to the program and earn, accrue, retain and redeem Moosejaw Reward Dollars (MJ$). The program is FREE to join and membership is ongoing until or unless the user requests to be removed or is removed due to abuse of the program. Users can opt-in to the program while checking out on Moosejaw.com or at one of our stores or at any time within 30 days of purchase to accrue the MJ$ earned on that purchase. Once opted-in to the program, MJ$ will earn and accrue for redemption as described below until the MJ$ expire or the user leaves the program.
All information collected and used to facilitate the Moosejaw Rewards program is directly related to the program's ability to provide value to the customer. A customer opting-in to the Moosejaw Rewards program is a separate action from establishing a user profile as a result of making a purchase.
The program opt-in requirement was added on August 6th, 2019. Existing program members prior to that date must still formally opt-in and accept the terms and conditions to continue to retain, earn and redeem MJ$. Pre-existing program members that fail to opt-in prior to June 28, 2020 will be removed from the program, and any unused MJ$ will be voided. We really, really don't want to that to happen, so please opt-in or we'll feel terrible.
Leaving Moosejaw Rewards Program:
You may choose to leave the Moosejaw Rewards program at any time by logging in and clicking on the “Opt out Rewards Program” link within the My Account Summary page, Email, calling 877-MOOSEJAW (877-666-7352) or in-store with help from our employees. If you leave the rewards program, any unused MJ$ will be voided upon completion of your request.
Earning MJ$:
All items we sell are eligible with the exception of gift cards or other items specifically noted. Full-priced items earn 10% back while discounted items earn 2.5%. "Discounted items" includes items on sale or discounted via coupon code or use of MJ$. You do not earn MJ$ for shipping or tax charges, only from the item value. MJ$ expire two years after earning and are redeemed on a first-in, first out basis (in other words, we always use your oldest MJ$ that are closest to expiration).
Checking & Redeeming MJ$:
On Moosejaw.com, just sign-in on any page to see your available balance. Once signed in, you will see your available MJ$ and maximum that can be redeemed in the payment section of the checkout process. In stores, provide the email address attached to your account to learn your balance and apply to your purchase. We will also send you a monthly email that details your balance and other account activity. This is a transactional email that you will receive even if you are not subscribed to our marketing emails.
Bonus Rewards Promotions:
Every so often, we'll have special offers where you can earn bonus MJ$, like an additional 10%, 20% or 40% back. So if we are running a 50% back special offer, and you buy a regular-priced item for $100.00, you will receive MJ$10.00 in base points, and a bonus of MJ$40. These special offers may have a cap on how many bonus MJ$ you earn during the promotion, but you will always earn the base Reward Dollars. Make sure to check us out on our social channels for other ways to win some extra MJ$!
MJ$ on Gift Cards:
You don't get earn MJ$ when you buy a gift card, but you do get MJ$ when you spend a gift card. Sorry gift givers. You're welcome gift receivers.
Product Returns and MJ$:
If you return an item, we deduct the MJ$ earned on that item from your balance. If you used the MJ$ and your balance is less than deduction, then your refund is reduced by the difference.
Program Abuse:
The intent of the program is to provide our loyal customers with a way to buy great gear for less. Moosejaw reserves the right to remove any user from the program and zero out their MJ$ balance if Moosejaw determines that the user is abusing the program by buying for resale, attempting to game the program or any other reason at Moosejaw's sole discretion.

Outsole is poor! Very disappointed for the price!At first glance, the Vanish Carbon shoes are very good. Perfect fit. Excellent cushioning while being stiff for running. But the outsole doesn't go the distance! In less than 100 miles, the outsole was too damaged for the shoe to keep a balanced support. Very disappointed for the price!

I would wait if you're a triathleteThese shoes take time getting into with thin socks due to the entry (topline) and tongue, horrible materials. You need to utilize heel lock lacing. and they only last 100+ miles.

Great High Performance ShoeWhile this shoe performs well, Altra should make it the standard fit because its became too uncomfortbe for me, having a wide foot, after the 5th mile when I ran my half marathon this past summer.

Game changing Altra but needs some improvementsUsed it for my first half-marathon. Used it during training for the half-marathon. First time I put it on, it felt a bit weird because of the rocker sole. My previous shoes were the Escalante and Escalante Racer which has relatively flat soles. Quickly got over the rocker sole and now wish they can be a bit more aggressive with the rocker design. It is too narrow for an Altra, I had to go half-size up to feel comfortable. PLEASE do this shoe in the original width, our feet expand after running that many kilometres! The sole wears out too FAST, please make it more sturdy. The tongue is too thin and folds upon it self, making the top of the feet uncomfortable and requires extra effort to smooth away the folds. Love the carbon plate, my feet feels less tired due to the "energy return", but I wonder if a full plate might be even "better". Waiting for the Vanish Carbon 2 with all the above improvements and I will be the first to buy it! Thank you for making a good shoe. Now let us make it better!

Sane toe profile, but not wideWhy did altra choose to leave their blue ocean of wide toebox shoes and sail into the red ocean of typical narrow shoes that all other brands cater to? While this shoe still is the most foot shaped shoe for a marathon shoe compared to other brands, it's narrower than I'd like. It doesn't curve inwards at the big toe like most brands, but aside that it's barely wider.

Love these shoes!I am Clydesdale runner (200+ lbs) and these shoes help maximize the return, leading to less damage and faster recovery. Plus, I can run faster in them, which is a plus. I can do much more running without as much joint pain. Thank you, Altra! Now, I am waiting for a Trail supeshoe

Failed design but minor changes would make huge improvementWhile this shoe has some potential, it is a failure as is. There are pros and cons. Pros: The upper is light, breathable, flexible fit. It has a nice toe rocker to help with turnover at race pace. When walking in them they actually feel cushioned. Overall weight is light. Slim race fit. Has Good lateral stability for race pace. Cons: Too short by about 1/2 size. My Vanish Tempo fits perfect whereas these have my toes tight to the front. The tongue folds over so you have to loosen up the laces enough to get a finger down each side to get the tongue to lay flat before tying the laces. The EVA foam for the tread instead of rubber, just to cut weight, is a complete failure! The tread is almost gone at 50 miles. The EVA foam tread also lacks grip as I feel the slip with each step. The midsole feels dead! For a race shoe you want either a firm responsive feeling midsole or a high energy return midsole, and this has neither; just dead flat feel. With a carbon plate it needs the high energy return for the plate to actually work. I am faster in the heavier Vanish Tempo than these Vanish Carbons. My Vanish Tempos have less tread wear after 200 miles than what my Vanish Carbons had at 20 miles. You need to be running a sub-6 minute mile pace with a cadence over 190 SPM for this shoe to actually be beneficial to improving your speed. I'll choose my Vanish Tempos for half marathon and longer and my Escalante Racers for 5k/10k races over these Vanish Carbons. Both are faster shoes than the Vanish Carbons. Recommendations: Use the rubber tread from the Vanish Tempo for the mid and forefoot tread while keeping the lightweight EVA tread on the heal. Change the the EGO Pro midsole to the EGO Max midsole that is used in the Torin 5/6 so that the Carbon plate actually works, at least for the front 2/3 of the midsole. The back third could remain the EGO Pro for more stability. I won't buy this shoe again until the tread is changed to rubber and the midsole has more energy return.
