Rated 2 out of 5 by from Sole is soft, but thats it. I really wanted to love these. I feel like my heel isnt held in place by the shoe and the stack height is higher than I would like. . Altra Lone Peaks and escalante's are some of the most comfortable shoes on the planet. I loved the Cayd's but since they dont make them anymore, I'm here. Altra: Make a black on black lone peak version with no knobs or Escalante. These are for work purposes. I just need something black on black. I dont need em to be leather. Please start offering shoes in black on black.

I was wearing Hokas for 5 yrs (great) and wanted to try Altra as an alternative, now I'm only wearing these Torin's. Very comfortable, but secure and solid construction.

These are like a dream come true. I have a high arch, paired with wide feet. I've tried half dozen different brands over the past 10 years, and none fit properly. NB used to be my ''go to'' sneaker, but they have gotten away from wide sizes ( I take a 4 E )...Thank you !

Unfortunately it is quite far from being remotely slip resistant. If there was a true non slip sole I'd buy this shoe again. However as of now I don't think I'd get another pair.
