Rated 2 out of 5 by from Too firm had to return Great spacious toe box but the bottom felt hard after running with Sauconys and Hokas...I'm 68, 5'11,165...just run 3 mls a couple times a week...although I've been running all my life.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 95% there. I've been with Altra now for the last two years. I started with the Torin 5 and Rivera 2. Both lacked heel/Achilles support. This has now been resolved with a more secure rear for the 6 and 3. I'm ecstatic. I really enjoy a firmer shoe and now that the Rivera has a bit more of a secure structure to the rear, this will be my go to shoe. Thanks Altra for listening to your customer feedback. If I had to critique the Torin and Rivera, I would say, firm up the Torins sole a bit and extend the heel/Achilles, like the Torin, to the Rivera.
