Rewards Program Terms and Conditions

Opting-in to Moosejaw Rewards:
All users must accept these terms and conditions and create an account with Moosejaw to opt-in to the program and earn, accrue, retain and redeem Moosejaw Reward Dollars (MJ$). The program is FREE to join and membership is ongoing until or unless the user requests to be removed or is removed due to abuse of the program. Users can opt-in to the program while checking out on Moosejaw.com or at one of our stores or at any time within 30 days of purchase to accrue the MJ$ earned on that purchase. Once opted-in to the program, MJ$ will earn and accrue for redemption as described below until the MJ$ expire or the user leaves the program.
All information collected and used to facilitate the Moosejaw Rewards program is directly related to the program's ability to provide value to the customer. A customer opting-in to the Moosejaw Rewards program is a separate action from establishing a user profile as a result of making a purchase.
The program opt-in requirement was added on August 6th, 2019. Existing program members prior to that date must still formally opt-in and accept the terms and conditions to continue to retain, earn and redeem MJ$. Pre-existing program members that fail to opt-in prior to June 28, 2020 will be removed from the program, and any unused MJ$ will be voided. We really, really don't want to that to happen, so please opt-in or we'll feel terrible.
Leaving Moosejaw Rewards Program:
You may choose to leave the Moosejaw Rewards program at any time by logging in and clicking on the “Opt out Rewards Program” link within the My Account Summary page, Email, calling 877-MOOSEJAW (877-666-7352) or in-store with help from our employees. If you leave the rewards program, any unused MJ$ will be voided upon completion of your request.
Earning MJ$:
All items we sell are eligible with the exception of gift cards or other items specifically noted. Full-priced items earn 10% back while discounted items earn 2.5%. "Discounted items" includes items on sale or discounted via coupon code or use of MJ$. You do not earn MJ$ for shipping or tax charges, only from the item value. MJ$ expire two years after earning and are redeemed on a first-in, first out basis (in other words, we always use your oldest MJ$ that are closest to expiration).
Checking & Redeeming MJ$:
On Moosejaw.com, just sign-in on any page to see your available balance. Once signed in, you will see your available MJ$ and maximum that can be redeemed in the payment section of the checkout process. In stores, provide the email address attached to your account to learn your balance and apply to your purchase. We will also send you a monthly email that details your balance and other account activity. This is a transactional email that you will receive even if you are not subscribed to our marketing emails.
Bonus Rewards Promotions:
Every so often, we'll have special offers where you can earn bonus MJ$, like an additional 10%, 20% or 40% back. So if we are running a 50% back special offer, and you buy a regular-priced item for $100.00, you will receive MJ$10.00 in base points, and a bonus of MJ$40. These special offers may have a cap on how many bonus MJ$ you earn during the promotion, but you will always earn the base Reward Dollars. Make sure to check us out on our social channels for other ways to win some extra MJ$!
MJ$ on Gift Cards:
You don't get earn MJ$ when you buy a gift card, but you do get MJ$ when you spend a gift card. Sorry gift givers. You're welcome gift receivers.
Product Returns and MJ$:
If you return an item, we deduct the MJ$ earned on that item from your balance. If you used the MJ$ and your balance is less than deduction, then your refund is reduced by the difference.
Program Abuse:
The intent of the program is to provide our loyal customers with a way to buy great gear for less. Moosejaw reserves the right to remove any user from the program and zero out their MJ$ balance if Moosejaw determines that the user is abusing the program by buying for resale, attempting to game the program or any other reason at Moosejaw's sole discretion.

Love the zero drop sole, but it's a bit narrowI love the zero drop sole, but I had to go a full size up for proper fit, and it still feels much more narrow than the tennis shoes. I bought them because I'm desperate for a zero drop shoe with ankle support, but I'll be looking for an improved boot. The width has been the most disappointing factor. Even though I went up a size, the width changed very little. If I recommended to a friend, I would caution them on the width.

Lightweight and ComfortableLone peak hiker 2 are incredibly comfortable and light weight. The toe box is fairly roomy and the ankle support is perfect for hikes on rockyor rough trails. As for the sizing I wear a 9.5 in most shoes(Vans,Adidas) I sized up a half a size (10) and they fit perfect.

Strong, lightweight shoes with ample toe box!I ordered a men's 10, though my usual size is a women's 11, because sizing is small. The shoe I received meets all my hopes and expectations, really comfortable with a good gripping sole.

A step in the right directionFirstly, thank you Altra for making a trail shoe with zero drop. Can't say enough about how important this is. However, there is still a lot of room for improvement: while the 11.5 size is perfect length for my feet, the width and volume are absolutely huge! I added a 6mm insole under the factory insole, and my foot still slides around from side to side. In general these are high top sneakers with a moderately aggressive sole. They do not properly lock down the foot and don't feel secure on steep trails. The sole is too squishy, and there isn't support underfoot for edging if a particular foothold is narrow. I would love it if Altra could make a real hiking boot with 5mm Vibram style sole, with a solid heel cup and other reinforcements to secure the foot, while keeping zero drop and roomy toe box. Also consider that someone might want to use gaiters which requires a bit of space on the sole for the strap.

Wish they offered it in all blackWhich they offered them in all black I bout the original hiker and had to paint the white midsole black.I love the feel and style of them but it's very annoying having to re apply black paint every few weeks. Just make an all black colorway already Altra!!!!

Boot to bootBig fan of the lone peak 6 down hill runners so I opted for a pair of boots and really liking them ,very light and comfortable also has decent padding around the ankle

Great design, terrible fitI love the Long Peak series of shoes. I have a pair of Lone Peak 4 mids that I bought for climbing/hiking at Joshua Tree and which I wore almost immediately out of the box for a 15+ mile excursion with a double sock setup (liner + wool). Those shoes are still my everyday defaults when I just need to throw something on. So I was really excited to see the new design for these. The grey/orange version is the nicest looking shoe Altra has come out with in ages. Bought a pair within a couple of days of release, ordered a half size up because I want to use these as everyday shoes and don't care that much about perfect fit. I couldn't even get my left foot into the shoe, no matter how much I loosened the laces. Since the right shoe was okay, I thought maybe that was just manufacturing issue. So I returned that pair and ordered a replacement pair. Both shoes hurt with the new pair. The toe box is okay (although narrower than most Lone Peaks, I think), but there's something just behind the toe box that is acutely painful on the top of my foot when I try to wear these. I even tried with lightweight socks and they still don't fit. And of course, Altra isn't offering these shoes in other widths. So I guess I could order a full size larger, except there's already a significant amount of space in front of my toe. I don't think going up a full size is going to fit well in the rest of my foot, even if it does relieve the pain. Bummer, I really wanted to like these.

Versatile, comfortable, just a perfect shoe.First note, size up about 1/2 size. These shoes are super comfortable and provide the roomy toe box that is expected with Altras. There's enough padding to support the foot but not too much to prevent the feet muscles from working. There's plenty of support on and around the ankle, great traction as well. They are VERY light. Laced up the stay fairly lean against the foot/leg, not bulky like most hiking shoes. I love the look, it's slightly retro.
