The Mountain Hardwear EV 2 Tent is a single wall tent for alpine expeditions. The EV 2 is a two person tent ready for toughing it out in extreme conditions. An integrated vestibule provides additional space alongside the actual living space. A total of three poles creates Mountain Hardwear's Evolution Tension Arch for stabilization that is reinforced with guy-out loops and included guy-out line and line tensioners. The tough PU coated 70D nylon floor keeps a barrier between you and the wet snow. Internal pockets allow you to store smaller items off the ground.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Tent Stumbled on this and thought I'd right a review, I bought it roughly 4-6 years ago. I've taken this tent on roughly 30-40 trips to the Colorado 14'ers, mountains in Spain, Deserts in the Southwest, Appalachians, Pacific Northwest, Scottish Highlands and in pretty much all seasons and conditions. I still have it, no holes in it and nothing broken which is pretty much why I writing a review. Still holding up strong and will be on roughly another 40 days this year in the back country with me and I imagine it will still hold up. I really want a new tent but this one won't seem to go away...

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice Tent! I bought this tent with the goal of doing more winter camping and wanting a legitimate 4-season tent. I'm happy with it so far, having taken it out on two trips. It held up well in the Adirondacks in negative teens weather and I'm happy with it's overall performance. It is a single wall tent and the biggest gripe I have is ventilation. This is to be somewhat expected but you will definitely get some condensation in the tent. By the third day I had significant condensation. If possible, try to set the tent up where you have some decent air movement, and this will help with the ventilation a little. It is pretty tight widthwise for two people with lots of winter gear, but adequate. Length is decent, but a lot of gear will fill up space quickly. I was happy to have the whole thing to myself on a three-day trip, and the weight and bulk of the tent was tolerable carrying it by myself (especially for a winter tent at a reasonable price point). I'd recommend this as a winter tent.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Pretty Dang Sweet This tent is awesome, perfect for, but 3 can fit if you wanna get a little wierd with it. Ive used it on all of my winter ascents, rainier and fuji, and it held up great! Set up takes no effort even in high winds. I set this bad boy up in 60 mph winds on Fuji with no problems in less than 2 minutes! I used it at north shore in hawaii when i biked Oahu and for some reason it had trouble keeping out water... it wasnt terrible just a little damp!,,,,Awesome tent!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very well built tent with poor ventilation I've been using this tent primarily as a winter exclusive backpacking tent in the high peaks Adirondacks region and have been almost entirely happy with it. The setup is super quick, maybe two minutes with two people. It is sturdy and very well made, they used durable materials in the construction. Its not the lightest tent in the world but for a four season bombproof tent I have no complaints. The floor feels very thick and no footprint is needed on snow. The biggest problem my co-hiker and I have had with it is condensation. The tent relies on high winds to circulate and vent and you set it up in a blocked area, you will get no ventilation. being a single wall tent, the condensation is borderline unbearable at times. Make sure you setup where you can catch a breeze. Other concerns include the bright color, which makes it hard to hide and sometimes the door zipper can snag on the draft flap. The internal vestibule is nice to have gear handy but makes it super snug with two people.
