Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent trad shoe I just bought my second pair of these. They've allowed me to comfortably climb all-day trad routes without ever having to take my shoes off. I think they're great in cracks and solid for smearing. I found them to hold up well after resole (R&R in Boulder) as well. I wear a 7.5 women's street and a 37 in these shoes. They do stretch quite a bit when you first break them in. For comparison, I also regularly use the women's lace-up Muiras for shorter/sportier climbs and Evolv Elektras in the gym. I climb outdoors 2-3 weekends/month but am only climbing 5.9 and lower in the Mythos.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love them! This is my second pair of climbing shoes. I got them really tight but they are still comfortable. They grip the holds nicely.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A Climber's Ultimate Companion STAFF REVIEW: Easily the most comfortable climbing shoe I have ever owned. I have always preferred lace-ups to get that custom mold on my foot, and these do the magic. I usually wear a women's 7 and only went down a full size so I don't have to take them off in between every route. Considering the quality and comfort of these shoes they are definitely worth the money. They're great for beginners and even the experts! Give them a try and you'll be hooked.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The myth is true La Sportiva Mythos woman's climbing shoes, yea great shoes for my feet. I have high arches and fat feet, I bought size 38 and wear 7 in woman's shoes. They are light and sturdy at the same time. They grip the rock. They lace up which I like for getting them on and off. So happy to have them.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very comfortable shoe Bought these shoes for my first multi-pitch climb. So so so comfortable. I bought them crazy small after reading other reviews about stretching & they actually did stretch very fast. Very comfy after 1 long day. Only complaint is that the rubber on one shoe began to pull away from the leather, but in the shoe's defense, I had them wedged in cracks for 3 days straight, 9 hours per day.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from These shoes fit better than any other shoe on the market I tried on many different pairs of shoes in the same size but these felt like I have worn them before. They where the only shoe true to my original size. the fit a little tight like they should. All day climbing proved to be amazing all the way through. The lace up on the top of the foot as well as the back snugs the shoe to your foot nicely. Highly recommended from your casual weekend climber.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Really comfy intro-level shoe (Account-owner's gf here): I bought these shoes along with the Miura VS, and together they cover all my climbing needs. I sized down by 1.5 (normally a 40.5 in street shoes, bought these in a 39), and the first time I put them on they were pretty painful, but I realized that was because I had the laces tightened all the way. A little loosening in the toe fixed that right up, and I was able to slowly tighten them back to the way I like them as they stretched. They are my go-to shoes for warming up and most basic indoor bouldering routes.,,,,My only complaint is that they are a little loose along the sides of my heels, but then I have narrow heels and find this to be a problem in almost all shoes I buy. It doesn't really affect my climbing, but it means the shoes make a little farting sound if I drop (fall) from too high up. Not a big deal, though - certainly not enough to give them anything but the highest rating!

LA SPORTIVA FIT GUIDE and INFO

La Sportiva footwear is built and offered on European half sizes, which are smaller increments than US half sizes. This gives them four extra sizes per size run, and ultimately gives you a better fit.

Please review La Sportiva's size conversion chart above to help determine your ideal size. Below you will find additional information about how to fit and break in the different styles of La Sportiva footwear, which will also help guide you to the correct size.

ROCK CLIMBING SHOES:
• As a general rule soft shoes like climbing shoes require a tighter fit, or about two to three sizes smaller than your street shoe size.
• La Sportiva recommends you fit your trad climbing shoes one to two sizes under your street shoe size.
• La Sportiva offers a lot of lasts, and each offers a different fit and feel. Remember to factor in potential stretching.
• Unlined slip-lasted shoes tend to stretch a bit more than lined shoes, or about one full size.
• Lined shoes stretch about a half size.

ROCK CLIMBING SHOE FIT SYSTEMS:
• PERFORMANCE FIT - offers a high performance fit and a downturned last.
• TECH FIT - a more technical fit and a last with neutral profile.
• COMFORT FIT - a comfortable fit and a last with more volume and a neutral profile.

HIKING, BACKPACKING and MOUNTAINEERING BOOTS:
• Find your US Size in the guide above, then find the Euro Size conversion and add one half size.
• The ideal size holds your toes ever so slightly away from the front of the boot while the lacing system is snug across the top of your arch.
• If you can try to boots on beforehand, make sure you wear the same size and weight socks you would typically wear with the boots, and any orthotics or custom footbeds you use.
• It is ideal to fit boots later in the day since feet are prone to swell slightly as a day progresses.
• Wear your boots indoors only until you are confident about the fit.
• Your foot should feel snug (not tight) from the arch back into the heel pocket with just a minimum lift as you walk. If your heel lifts make sure the lacing is snug and not too loose.
• Your toes should NOT touch the front of the boot, but when you kick the toe into the floor, you should know where the front of the boot is. You want just enough room to wiggle your toes.
• If your toes or sides of your feet feel squished, most likely the width is too narrow and the boot will not work for you.
• If your toes touch the front of the boot, most likely it is too short and you need the next half size up.
• Make sure to keep all original packaging that came with your boots until you are sure that you are happy with your purchase.
