The La Sportiva Men's Miura Shoe is a performance climbing shoe for technical routes to the gym. The over ten year La Sportiva classic features speed lacing for a secure fit all the way up new or favorite routes. The leather upper combined with a Dentex lining allows for a controlled stretch, sinking your foot into comfort with continued use. The downturned toe with high asymmetry helps you find and stay in the pockets. The shoe is finished off with the XS Edge rubber, allowing you to stick to edges and smear like a champ.

FEATURES of the La Sportiva Men's Miura Shoe

  • Slingshot rand connected to the power hinge under the shoe wraps around the entire foot preventing stretch and driving the foot forward for a powerful forefoot fit
  • Speed lacing system for quick lace-ups
  • 8 panel directional lining for channeling stretch
  • Slip last construction for added sensitivity to help you feel and grip edges
  • Ideal for overhanging sport routes, bouldering, gym climbing and technical face climbing
  • Vibram® XS Edge sole is incredibly resistant to deformation on razor sharp edges and will not creep when smearing

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great performance and comfort! I just bought my second pair and I am very happy I did. It performs very well on any slab, vert, or slightly overhanging climbs! Great edging and control that makes me feel like a ninja when I toe the smallest feet.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Aggressive and comfortable I bought a pair a couple months ago and they have been awesome so far! Sticky hard rubber and a moderately agressive downturn make them great for dime placements and crack placements. I'm very happy with the comfortable fit that allows me to wear them for hours without untying or taking off.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Fit well They fit really well, but they're already coming apart on the toe

Rated 5 out of 5 by from LOVE IT I'm a female and I bought the men's version because my foot is a bit wider. I usually wear velcro just because I tend to take off my shoes after every climb so I thought having lace would take longer to put on, but that wasn't the case. Laces up just as fast as velcroing 3 straps per shoe. ,,,,I usually wear 38.5, went down to 36. Stretches out nicely.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great all-around climbing shoe I've owned like 6 or 7 pairs of these and keep on buying new ones when I wear them out. I use them for everything - bouldering, overhanging sport climbs and long multipitch climbs.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I'm a miura lifer, but sizing them can be tricky between the men's and woman's versions. The women's miuras were the second shoe I owned. I bought a pair of 36.5's, they stretched out and fit beautifully. I resoled them 4 times and decided it's time to get a new pair, but since I have wider feet went with the men's version. This shoe in the same size 36.5) is actually a little bit bigger than the woman's shoe. The edges are still amazing and it can still do anything, it's just a bit larger and will stretch. My advice, if you're going from woman's to men's go a half size smaller than your woman's shoe. Nobody wants to waste those glorious edges by ending up with floppy toes.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Classic for a reason Been around for over a decade and can still do anything depending on how you size it. Ondra established 5.15c in this shoe. Honnold free solo'd his first big walls with it before the TCpro. There are probably better choices for bouldering or super steep climbing but for an all-around sport/trad shoe the Miura is hard to beat. For resoles pretty much anybody in the business has done hundreds of them so they usually come out well - these can last you quite a while.

LA SPORTIVA FIT GUIDE and INFO

La Sportiva footwear is built and offered on European half sizes, which are smaller increments than US half sizes. This gives them four extra sizes per size run, and ultimately gives you a better fit.

Please review La Sportiva's size conversion chart above to help determine your ideal size. Below you will find additional information about how to fit and break in the different styles of La Sportiva footwear, which will also help guide you to the correct size.

ROCK CLIMBING SHOES:
• As a general rule soft shoes like climbing shoes require a tighter fit, or about two to three sizes smaller than your street shoe size.
• La Sportiva recommends you fit your trad climbing shoes one to two sizes under your street shoe size.
• La Sportiva offers a lot of lasts, and each offers a different fit and feel. Remember to factor in potential stretching.
• Unlined slip-lasted shoes tend to stretch a bit more than lined shoes, or about one full size.
• Lined shoes stretch about a half size.

ROCK CLIMBING SHOE FIT SYSTEMS:
• PERFORMANCE FIT - offers a high performance fit and a downturned last.
• TECH FIT - a more technical fit and a last with neutral profile.
• COMFORT FIT - a comfortable fit and a last with more volume and a neutral profile.

HIKING, BACKPACKING and MOUNTAINEERING BOOTS:
• Find your US Size in the guide above, then find the Euro Size conversion and add one half size.
• The ideal size holds your toes ever so slightly away from the front of the boot while the lacing system is snug across the top of your arch.
• If you can try to boots on beforehand, make sure you wear the same size and weight socks you would typically wear with the boots, and any orthotics or custom footbeds you use.
• It is ideal to fit boots later in the day since feet are prone to swell slightly as a day progresses.
• Wear your boots indoors only until you are confident about the fit.
• Your foot should feel snug (not tight) from the arch back into the heel pocket with just a minimum lift as you walk. If your heel lifts make sure the lacing is snug and not too loose.
• Your toes should NOT touch the front of the boot, but when you kick the toe into the floor, you should know where the front of the boot is. You want just enough room to wiggle your toes.
• If your toes or sides of your feet feel squished, most likely the width is too narrow and the boot will not work for you.
• If your toes touch the front of the boot, most likely it is too short and you need the next half size up.
• Make sure to keep all original packaging that came with your boots until you are sure that you are happy with your purchase.
