The Keen Women's Targhee II Mid Waterproof Shoe is a hiking shoe with ankle support for charging trail with a pack on your back. Hit the dusty trail or even a wet one thanks to the waterproof/breathable performance of the KEEN.DRY™ membrane. Your toes stay dry and a gusseted tongue keeps them debris-free as well, 'cause who knows what you'll be kicking up miles into the trip. The leather and textile upper are durable to hold up to the constant dirt and abrasion, while the rubber toe provides extra coverage for kicking errant rocks. Underfoot the rubber outsole is formed into 4mm lugs that face various directions to grip whatever the trail throws at you.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I love me some Keens! I had some day hiking Keens (low tops) which I love, but needed something with some ankle support for the first section of the John Muir Trail in August. I already had high top boots, but hated the way my feet felt trapped in them all day. I went with this Keen boot because I love the wiggle room in the toes and my feet feel great at the end of the day.,,,,I've taken them out for a few break-in hikes and really they didn't need it. No hot spots and great support for my whole foot. I even tromped through some stream crossings on purpose and through some snow and my feet stayed dry. ,,,,Love 'em!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Totally Love these Talk about comfortable and well made. These will be great protection from the cactus also, which is why I opted for the less breathable over more protection since I walk along totally oblivious to what is near my feet while I am focused several feet in front of myself spotting crystal formations lying on top of the ground. And - don't bother to ask where I am crystal hunting, it would be like asking me where I fish and where I hunt (sorry!). Love your sense of humor. What a great addition to the current negative trend going on in our economic "crysis" (spelled wrong on purpose of course).

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very happy with my boots! I have been training in these boots for 2 months and have them well broken in. When I first got them I feared they would be too snug, but since giving them some time to loosen up (just a bit), they are working out nicely. I wear two pair of socks- Smartwool mid weight and their sock liners. I have hiked in deep snow and rain and am confident that they will keep my feet dry and comfortable. I wear Keen sandals and they seem to fit my feet - which are on the wide side- very well. Wore my sandals all over Europe. The only thing I wish is that the boots were a little more feminine looking!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wanted a comfortable walking - light hiking boot---Love this boot I got my husband a pair of these boots to wear turkey hunting as they were recommended by the guys on the turkey forum. He thinks they are the most comfortable boots he's worn. Well, long story short, (well I guess not really short) I liked them so much that I got a pair. I have problems getting footwear wide enough for me, (I have duck feet, short and wide). These fit perfectly. Also I have bunions from standing at my job for 32 years and these boots don't hurt them. I love these boots. Since this is really ratings for two items does that qualify for double points? ;-)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from These boots really hold up to their reputation I was hesitant about buying these boots seeing as to how most people said that they ate good for casual hikes. I initially bought them for a 2 week trek on JMT on pretty rugged and varied terrain. I have taken these in a handful of long day hikes and they have held up really well even in the loosest and slipperiest conditions. I have to say I'm pretty satisfied thus far. Also I have to mention how comfortable they are! They feel great on my feet and they even eliminated my heel and knee pain from previous injuries! I have definitely found a new favorite hiking boot

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A great hiking boot that fits well on my wide feet Endowed with awkwardly wide feet and tiny little ankles, finding a hiking boot has always been a bit of a goose chase. I tried these on in the store the other day and was pleasantly surprised to find that my feet felt quite comfortable in them, without tooooo much room in the ankles. They are still a little loose around the ankles, but some good pulling of the laces and thick socks make them fit snuggly. They are lightweight and waterproof, which make them easy to travel with and don't make your legs feel too tired. The only disappointment I have here is the lack of arch support (I've got tall arches, too) but thankfully an insert has solved this issue, too. I highly recommend them! Especially if you've got weird feet like me.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for a wide toe box! This review is for the Targhee I. My wife has a wider front and a narrow heel, and she loves these. She wears them everywhere including work, where she is on her feet most of the day and on concrete. We try to keep her pack to no more than 30-35lbs and complains of no foot fatigue. Her only gripe is they are not waterproof, so on multiday hikes she brings another pair of much more expensive boots. She still much prefers these out of all the boots she has tried. So glad she has found a pair that works, and bonus they are much more affordable than most she has tried.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from I returned them I got these in a local store because they felt light and sturdy. I didn't even take these up for a hike before I returned them. As I wore them around the house, my ankles started to rub really bad... And I was wearing thick/tall socks! They were light and seemed like great shoes but I just didn't want to deal with wrapping my ankles with bandages in order to hike. Borrowed my friends brand new Vasque Breeze LT GTX and they didn't take long to break in at all! not like these... no blisters around my ankles!
