Five Ten C4

Five Ten C4
Five Ten Stealth C4 is a sticky rubber found on climbing and approach shoes. It's fairly hard and built for edging and hard friction so you won't slip when it matters most. Gives your feet much needed extra traction on technical routes.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Made for the ropes A few months ago I got my first pair of La Sportiva Miuras, and it was instant love. They are amazing for bouldering as well as shorter sport climbing (I wore them once for trad). Unfortunately, as with all relationships, they need occasional re-soleing. So I bought these babies. The mocasyms are really great for sport climbing, super comfy once they are broKen in, although it did taKe a few days until I could get them all the way onto my feet. I wear a 35.5 in climbing shoes, and got a size 4 (mens) in these. The one draw-bacK is they turn my feet bright red, and I thinK they are going to stretch out a bit. But for now, I'm loving them!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great shoe for a certain foot I love these shoes, and I probably don't even have the best shaped foot for them. They're incredibly sensitive, and if you downsize 2 street shoes (like I did), you'll have an incredible bouldering shoe that does everything well except heel hook. They're also very reassuring on trad routes because you can feel every little hold (downsize a bit less, mine kill at belay ledges).,,,,My feet are narrow at the back, and wide & flat at the front. The toes on the Moccasyms are very pointed, and so the rand's coming off by my pinky toes (plus it hurts). La Sportiva Cobra may have been a better option in my case, but hey, they're still great and I'm hanging on to them.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Get 'em I have FAT feet. This obviously makes climbing shoes anything but ideal to squeeze into. 5.10 strikes a great balance in the Moccasym between accommodating a wider foot while keeping the shoe responsive. ,,,,Convenient switching from lace ups to a slip on and have never felt like the were going to come off of my feet without me wanting them to. ,,,,You will get to work on your improvisation skills as your friends begin to ask you why your feet are always red, (yes if you sweat at all these will temporarily turn them bright red) tell them you have mathelete's foot, or that you burned your foot on a Foreman Grill. You'll have to explain it somehow, but its worth it

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Pretty good shoe This is my first climbing shoe that I've actually owned (others were rented or borrowed) and so far I really like it. It's easy to slip on and off but stays on tight while climbing, and it's not too uncomfortable, although there is some extra space in the heel so they're not good for hooking while bouldering. The toes are kind of soft but they still work well for indoor top rope, I haven't tried them outside yet. The only problem I had was that I got blisters the first few times I wore them, so I ended up getting them in a half size smaller than what I usually wear for climbing shoes. I know several people who also have these and love them, and I heard they're good for crack climbing too.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Slip them on, climb on. The Moccasyms are an all around great shoe. I've had them for over a year now and I'm still overusing them. The C4 Stealth soles make for a great smearing, edging and durability which is unmatched. The shoes do stretch and form fit after decent use but I wouldn't recommend going down more than a size and a half as you will be hurting for months. I think the heel could be more aggressive and the edging wears down more quickly than I would have liked. My feet are red from the dye leeching after I take them off but it's cosmetic at best. Overall, I would highly recommend them.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Everyone and their grandmother should buy this shoe. (If you can get your grandmother to climb…) Being LaSportiva biased, I was extremely skeptical when buying this shoe. However, to my delight, this shoe is absolutely amazing. If you know what size to buy, you're good to go. They do stretch quite a bit, but that's expected with any climbing shoe. Talk to your friends to get an idea of what size shoe you want, depending on what type of climbing you'll be doing, and you're good to go. The chances of one of your friends having this shoe are pretty high because it is a B.A. shoe. If none of your friends have this shoe, consider finding new friends...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great all around shoe!!! This will be my 4TH pair of Five Ten Moccasym and I love them! Great feel/fit, good indoors and comfortable outdoors. The stealth rubber is amazing and when my friends are slipping all over I'm usually stuck to the rock loving it. The only weak points of the shoe I can think of would be a strong heel hook could be problematic if you're not used to the shoe and edging is great but not excellent. Overall, this shoe is the best all around, indoor/outdoor, bouldering to sport to trad, shoe I've ever worn. Looking forward to my next pair!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from If I could only have one shoe.. I love my moccasyms for just about any type of climbing that I can throw at them- size them tighter for more control on hard crack and smeary slab or looser for an all day adventure trad or gym shoe.. I've owned many shoes over the course of about seven years and these and the pinks are the only ones that have really stood the test of time and practicality. I'm sure that there are better shoes for extremely steep terrain but for all around functionality and wearability it's the mocs hands down!-
