Rated 5 out of 5 by from Light comfortable and protective!!! I am a stagehand at an amphitheater in New York and I use this helmet as my hard hat. I love the feature like it being ventilated and lightweight and the adjustable chin strap. The only thing missing on the chin strap is a chin rest. I have a question though. Working as a stagehand, I tend to sweat ALOT!! Is there anything I can do to clean or get rid of sweat/odor from inside the helmet without damaging the inside or ending up with funky cleaner smell in the helmet or when wearing it on my head! Any suggestions would be great.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fits well The Vector fits well and is not sloppy, meaning it stays in place while climbing. It's super light and comfortable enough that I didn't feel a need to take it off while belaying. Thus far I am happy with it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Light and Versatile This helmet is easy to adjust, comfortable, and light. I notice it's presence on my head even less than I expected. The venting works well. I have a fairly wide head (think jarhead), and it is hard to find a helmet that doesn't put pressure above and behind my ears. This one is great. I got it orange for high-vis, and it looks good.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So good you'll want to wear it! This is the first helmet I've ever enjoyed wearing. Light, comfortable, breathable, and easy to adjust. The headlamp clips are also a great feature and well-positioned.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Light and Comfortable Took this helmet out for a day at the crag. Halfway through lunch I realized I was still wearing my helmet. Not one hot spot or sweaty skin contact area. It is super comfortable and easily adjusted. When the sun got in the way as I was belaying, I plopped a light trucker hat underneath, to help shade my eyes, and the easy adjustments made it fit perfectly.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Light and packable. Okay, I'm not really a B A Mo Fo, but I've always wanted to be! But I have been climbing for 20 years or so, and I've had a simple hard plastic Petzl shell helmet for about 18 years, so that's what I have to compare to here. The Petzl was/is solid. It was never very comfortable as the ratchet system in it pinched the front and back of my head, while not even touching the sides, but it definitely stood up to a lot of rocks as well as being crammed ungraciously into packs. Now that I'm all grown up, I thought just maybe I could by a new helmet purely for comfort. This new BD Vector IS very comfortable, so that alone gets it 4 stars. But will it hold up? It just feels light and delicate, and while I guess it's not fair to judge it on feel, I just can't see it holding up the way the Petzl did. If I'm still using it in 18 years, heck even in 9 years, I will amend this review to give it 5 stars!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Lightweight, more coverage, pretty stylish Picked this up to replace my BD Half Dome. The Vector is a great helmet. It's super light, it has lots of ventilation, and it's got a nice look to it. It feels like it has a bit more coverage in the back of the head than the plastic Half Dome–style helmets, which is cool. Sometimes if you tighten it down a bunch the end of the little adjustment strap in the back will dig in behind your ear, and it's hard plastic, so that's kind of a bummer. But the whole package is well-made and feels secure. Four stars! Buy it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from If you have the money and love yourself. The lightest and most breathable helmet I have ever owned. I use mine for rock-climbing in the summer and mountaineering in the winter. Kind of pricey but if you ever get it you wont regret it.
