Rated 5 out of 5 by from best bomb proof boots these are the best boots I have owned, and I go through a lot of boots. I usually boots wear out in a year when the soles are completely flattened and holes come in through the sides because I hike on too much limestone off trail. So far these boots have held up extremely well. The soles are stiff enough to provide tons of support on questionable scree slopes, but I never get any blisters and had minimal break in time. Completely waterproof when going through streams, but yet my feet have never been too hot due to absorbent lining. Also, its good to know with these boots that when I do eliminate the tread on these boots I can get them resoled.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I'm in love with these boots I purchased these boots four years ago for a 45-day backpacking trip. They performed marvelously across every terrain type encountered: tundra, tussocks, river beds, bushwhacking, errthang! I did not break them in as much as I probably should have prior to the trip; however, I never got nasty blisters. Four other women on my trip also had these boots: we are obsessed with them. The one problem encountered by anyone was that one of the lace grommets toward the front of the boot popped out (but out of 5 pairs of these, and that was the only issue? Pretty neat!). I have since worn these boots on a number of multi-day backpacking trips, and have never had an issue.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The ONLY Boots to Buy After 17 years with my beloved Asolo boots, it was time for an upgrade. I chose the TPS 520 GV as they were most similar to my last pair of boots. ,,While the boots are built with heavy, rigid soles and thick leather, they required ZERO break in period. The stability they provide on uneven terrain is unmatched. The Gore-Tex keeps feet completely dry in wet conditions. ,, I can say with absolute confidence that when it comes time to replace this pair of boots, I will be returning once again to Asolo for my next.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I love my Asolo hiking boots!! (And of course Wow, the best boots I have ever had! I didn't get a chance to break them in before going hiking in Zion national Park and Bryce National Park to go horseback riding. But I taped my feet and I didn't get one blister. The shoes made the hikes easy and the feet happy. (It did not make me want to go all the way up to Angle's Landing though. I stopped dead in my tracks at Scout's Landing to decide that. I turned around and these boots kept walking (back down)

I hope that was creative enough to get 100 points. If not, I'll send the picture of me on the horse with my boots in Bryce, Utah

Lynn

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Dees boots rock my feets. So, my name isn't actually Juan, in fact it's Gina cause I'm a woman. Juan is my husband, but we like to call him Rick. Anyhow, it's a good thing I'm a woman b/c these boots we bought are women's boots. I got them b/c I had another pair that lasted 10 years and I was hoping to make these ones last as long. We've taken them hiking on my little feets twice already and they are comfy and don't rub me the wrong way cause that would really suck. If I could have my way they would stay pretty and clean forever but Rick insists that corrupting them with mud and dirt gives them personality. It's true I suppose.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from good hiking boots these boots are durable, and the high ankle helped protect me from hurting my ankle numerous times on rocky trails. however, i am a 7.5 size , i got these for 6.5 , they fit perfectly without weight. however, while i was backpacking with these, my toenails all turned black from hitting on the front toe room of the boot. i guess a 7 size would have been perfect. overall, i still think these are great boots give you protect, waterproof. and dont feel that heavy while hiking at all. the soles offered great traction as well over wet surface rocks.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Boots to trek the world! I purchased these boots in 2004 when preparing for a trip to Belgium. These Asolo boots have served me well and are still going. It did take a couple of weeks of wearing them every day to break them in, but now they are the most comfortable boots that I own. I can be tough on shoes & these boot really take a beating. I did two tours of Belgium, and both times I wore these boots for more than 80% of the journey. They offer great ankle support which is a good thing because I am known to be a klutz . My feet kept dry even in rainy/wet conditions. At home in New England, I use these boots on snow days, and the traction is superior. I also have a pair of Merrell boots which are similar to

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Killer Arch and Ankle support, No break in, tough ass boot! This boot was true to size, and width, is designed and manufactured with a eye for detail and super comfortable! Look, my last two unnamed brand boots lasted 10+ years so this boot has to be tough to make the grade. I give it an A++++ for mountaineering ability, it can scale any sick terrain yet it causes no pain. (I am a poet and did not know it)! Anyway, I have the most %$*#@ feet, super skinny ankles, supper high arches and have to have foot beds for any ski boot etc., but this boot provides awesome ankle support, no heel slippage and provides an experience like walking on water or light fluffy clouds!!!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND THE BOOT AND MOOSEJAW! I LOOOOVE THE BOOT AND MOOSEJAW TOO!
