Rated 5 out of 5 by from It warm, its dry it fits. good for cool to cold temp range. I bought this coat for my son who is working in the Yukon. He was there from July into October. It was rainy this summer and highs of 50 F at the beginning and as low as -20F at the end. this coat is great. even though it does no look like there will be much insulation it was warm to the end. it is dry. He was moving in the woods so was generating heat but still stayed comfortable even in October, - 20F. It is fit so that when you bend over the wind does not come up your coat and loose all your heat. Because of an inadequate sleeping bag he even slept in it. this is a coat that will not have to be replaced soon. Highly recommended.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome winter jacket Now that I have this jacket, I wish I had ordered it sooner. I've had it for a little over a week and have worn it pretty much everyday since it arrived. It is incredibly warm and the athletic cut makes the ladies weak in the knees (I'm 6'3" 225 and went with a large). Everything about the jacket kicks butt, but perhaps my favorite feature has been the pockets. I get a handgasm every time I slip my paws inside. They are uber-warm and lined with a very soft, fine fleece on the upper side and a silky nylon on the palm side...mmm. It's like sticking your hand into a warm bowl of awesome cloud soup. Buy it and you won't regret it. Trust me, I am a very honest person.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Probably GREAT coat for true adventure-oriented application, but didn't meet my lesser needs. Bought coat for casual winter use, recognizing it may have been overkill. Returned it for the following reasons:,,- Collar overly high; rubbed against my face.,,- Waist a bit tight when seated, requiring use of the reverse zipper.,,- Hood (didn't really want) seemed overly large; bothered me, even in the down position.,,- Coat made crinkling noises (outer material; filling?).,,,,While relatively minor, were the coat used in its intended application (i.e., active "adventuring"), these issues were too annoying to overlook in such an expensive garment, considering I just wanted a daily-use winter coat. Coat's quality & warmth were exemplary, as was my treatment at Moosejaw store.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best winter coat ever. Before trying this at a local store, I did a lot of buying and returning famous brand like TNF, Patagonia. Finally, I got paid off by this guy. This is a definitely a game changer for the following reasons:,,(1) First of all, very light, extremely warm (20F below no prob), yet breathable water proof, wind proof,,(2) the cut is beautiful done so that you can move your arms like wearing nothing. ,,(3) draw cord in the pocket is actually to tight the waist so that it serves as a snow skirt,,(4) double main zippers makes heat ventilation much easier,,I would highly recommend this to anyone who are looking for a warm winter coat, which he can wear in town, yet also for skiing, snow boarding.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This jacket is great and so is Moosejaw. Don't listen to that other review. Moosejaw was awesome in getting me this jacket. I had gotten the previous year's model with rewards points and it didn't fit but by the time I tried to swap it the jacket had been removed from the rewards site. When this new model came up they were incredibly understanding and let me swap for a smaller size in the new model (I paid the difference in points). I can't wait for it to start snowing so I can really use it rather than just wearing it around the house and pretending I'm in a blizzard somewhere in the mountains.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Almost TOO WARM!!! I bought this jacket last year just before Christmas. After spending the previous winter getting wet and cold in my old jacket. I have to say that I have been blown away by this jacket. It is incredibly warm (Almost too warm) unless you are really in way below sub z temps. I have used this for a number of hikes and winter camping trips. Keeps me dry even in pooring rain, is very light weight, and I usually just wear a long-sleeved t-shirt and thin sweater underneith. Can recommend this jacket very highly.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product, great purchase! I purchased this jacket for the cold northeastern winters and it has not let me down. The quality is second to none and the fit and finish and excellent as well. While I believe it's tailored for the mountain and not the metropolis, it's done just fine in the city. It's relatively fashionable and not too gear'ish. Overall, I would highly recommend this product to anyone looking for a warm, waterproof winter coat that values quality.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Jacket I am so happy that I made this purchase. It is such a great jacket. I have worn it in the snow and freezing rain and it kept me dry. I purchased this jacket because it is so light and thin. I was a little worried if it was going to keep me warm and it did, sometime a little too warm. The size fit great. I wear a 48 coat and the XL work fine. I even have room for layers.

Chest / Bust - Measure around your chest / bust, holding the measuring tape under your armpit.

Waist - Measure around the natural waist, which is often the narrowest part of your waist.

Hip - Measure around your hips at the widest part.

Sleeve Length - With your arms in a slightly bent position, measure from the center of the back of your neck, along the length of your arm, to the wrist.

Inseam / Pant Length - From a standing position, measure from your crotch to your ankle.

Head Circumference - Measure the full circumference around the widest part of your head.

Hand Length - Measure from the tip of your middle finger to the base of the palm.

Hand Width - Measure the circumference of your hand around the knuckles, excluding the thumb.

• Please note that all the info provided above refers to body measurements, and NOT the dimensions of the garment.

Next to Skin Fit - These snugly-fitting garments are made with stretch fabrics to fit next to the skin to enhance moisture management and thermal efficiency. Garments in this fit category when constructed using Arc'teryx's heavier-weight AR and SV fabrics also perform very well as mid layer pieces, and users should consider selecting a larger size to accommodate a base layer underneath if the intention is to use this layering system as a mid layer option.

Trim Fit - Trim-fitted garments share the motion-friendly traits with Arc'teryx "Athletic" fit garments, but are patterned with lower volume for reduced bulk. These close-fitting pieces layer well under other garments.

Athletic Fit - This is the "Arc'teryx Standard" fit. These complete patterns utilize anatomical shaping and gussets to enhance motion by minimizing excess bulk. Easy layering under or over each item extends seasonal versatility and comfort.

Relaxed Fit - Relaxed fit garments rely on higher volume patterns and a reduced amount of articulation to offer roomy mobility.

Expedition Fit - Cut roomier than the Arc'teryx Athletic fit and suitable for winter/extreme conditions, Expedition (XPD) fit garments are cut larger to accommodate multiple layers without binding or restricting movement.

• You can find the fit type and additional fit info for Arc'teryx styles in the product description FEATURES and SPECIFICATIONS.
