Rated 4 out of 5 by from A solid mount for the money. I picked one of these up to make space in my car for things other than my bike. I am tall and therefore have a big bike (21"), and the viper accommodates even this large frame size just fine. My bike also has disc brakes and like the product description says this mount will work with most one and two caliper brakes. The quick release with locking core housing is nice for traveling so I don't have to worry about losing my bike while feasting on long road trips. The through-pin design clamps down nice and tight making for worry free high speed travel. Thus far i haven't noticed that pin and lock really gets blown around too much when the bike isn't clamped in.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Moosejaw offers great products and unbeatable deals. People are great too. When it comes to bike racks for you car, Yakima is king. I got this for my new bike that has front disk brake and Viper has is the one that works for disc brake. The construction and design is great and the price is right. I got this one on sale and no one one entire web could beat the price. Not even ebay.

And when it comes to delivering the best quality product at best deal, it is no other but Moosejaw. I searched the web for the bottom line price and guess who won? Moosejaw. Also the customer service is great. The first one arrived damaged and they sent out another as 2 day overnight. I got it just in time for the weekend. Now that's a great store. Cheers!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Looking for a bike rack, this is it. The viper bike mount is great. It is so easy to use, fast to install (takes like a minute, seriously) and gives an amazing hold on your bike. Holds both road bikes and mountain bikes. Together with the sks core locks you would feel alright to leave your bike on your roof all night long. If some wants your bike, it would be easier to steal the car, than to take your bike off your viper mount, but then you wouldn't have a car nor a bike and would have to walk.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solid, efficient system I replaced my Steelhead trays with these when I got my disc brakes on. The construction seems very sturdy, and the adjustment dial on the outside is pretty easy to maneuver with one hand. Nice product. Comparison If you don't have disc brakes and don't plan to get them, the Steelheads are also very nice. You do have to give the skewer a reach-around to tighten it down, but the hold is very solid.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from I'd recommend the Thule v2 This rack is easy to assemble, and great once the bike is on, but not as user friendly as its Thule counterpart (the v2). Every time you load your bike you'll have to readjust the clamp, unless you don't mind leaving the clamp loose and letting it flap in the wind while your driving. The locking system is a bit cumbersome, and the key doesn't seem to slide in smoothly.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worth the money if you have a bike. I have two of these on my car currently, and they are fantastic. They are sturdy enough to hold road or mountain bikes at any speed. I've even used mine on some cross-country trips with no problems at all. Just make sure you spend the extra cash on the locking cores and a couple of wheel forks for your front wheel. You'll be glad you did, especially after a muddy ride.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from rocks! Thanks to Adam recommending these I am now a happier Moosejawonian, or whatever you call your loyalist customers. This is the Cadillac of minivans of bike racks. Easy install, secures the bike like a vise grip and I have now problem hammering down I-96 out to Island Lake to hammer the trails or asphalt. 'hank ou' agian...peace and hair grease.

McShane

Rated 4 out of 5 by from You Guys Rock. Thanks for caring. I'll be honest, the bike racks LOOK good, but I haven't mounted them yet. Its winter here in NJ. my ski racks still reside on my roof. When I decide to get ambitious and mount the suckers, I might writr you a review, seeing as my life is otherwise dull and I have nothing better to do with my time.
Thanks.
