Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing bag This bag is amazing. It's expensive but worth every penny. It's insanely warm, lightweight and well crafted. It's very comfortable against the skin and is the roomiest mummy bag I've ever owned. I highly reccomend western mountaineering and this is definitely one of the most versitile bags for light weight backpackers.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Light bag I have owned this for about a year and used it many times. It is as warm as it is rated, has a comfortable lining, and is very light and compressible. Excellent product. The zipper has a stiffener which makes it easy to open and close for that late night bathroom trip.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best bag you can buy!! This bag provides ultimate comfort all while packing down to the size of a two liter in a compression sack. Used over Memorial Day weekend and wasn't too hot in my sleep. Opened it up and let the zzzs come in!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Warm and light Feels somewhat warmer than its rating to a male cold sleeper. Very well made, with thoughtful touches that make it an effective part of a sleep system. The baffle placement allows you to push more or less of the down above or below you for more or less warmth. Keep in mind this is a technical bag, so you will need to treat it reasonably well to avoid damaging it, though it is not fragile.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Warm and cozy I purchased this bag specifically for a 5 day trip in the Sierras. The overnight temps dropped down into the mid-20's, but I stayed warm and cozy all night. Never even completely zipped it up. Others complained about being cold at night in their 20 degree bags. I'm 5'6" and the 6' bag was perfect for me. I stuffed the clothes I was going to put on in the morning in the bottom of the bag with room to spare. The material is durable and I never had a problem with the zipper snagging. The included compression sack doesn't really compress the bad. I purchased a small Sea to Summit compression sack and it worked great.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Bag Just bought the bag for an upcoming trip. I have tested it out in my house to see how it fits and it has plenty of room around the shoulders. I would definitely recommend. Comes with stuff sack and storage sack for when its not in use.

I camp in Northwest Rain Forest and rainy Northern Canadian Rockies. Is the outer shell water proof or DWR?

Asked by: Tagish Man
I did some more research on this matter, and found out this bag does come with very good DWR shell. I did talk to Western Mountaineering and confirmed it. They officially asked Moosejaw to delete the posting by Rocko Gigsby 2 days ago, but the posting is still there. It is very important to me. If the bag is waterproof or DWR treated I would definitely consider buying it, but if not I will not even think about buying it.

Can left zipper and right zipper bags of the same model and size be zipped together to form a double bag?

Asked by: winepro
Hiya winepro, thanks for your question! Yes! You can absolutely zip two of these bags together... but like you mentioned, make sure one is a left zipper and one is a right zipper. Hope this helps!

I am a 5'7" woman should I go for a 5'6" bag or a 6 footer?

Asked by: Lewis
Thanks for the question! I think that the 5'6" option will leave you feeling shoved into the hood. With the 6FT size you will have room to be able to flex your toes downward - as that is how most people naturally sleep. If you are worried about your feet being cold, customers often place clothing at the bottom of their bag to conserve heat & take up the extra space. I hope this helps a little!

I am 5'4". Should I get a 5'6" or a 6' size bag?

Asked by: Judi B
Hiya, thanks for the question! You should be fine in a 5' 6" bag. Hope this helps!

I'm 5ft 10 woman. Would 6ft or 6ft 6 be better.

Asked by: Gina
Thank you for the question! You will want the 6 foot size as you don't want a lot of extra space at the bottom of your feet. More room will allow heat to escape - so you will want to be all snug and toasty. Some people even stuff clothing or jackets at the bottom of the foot bed to trap in heat. Hope this helps!
