Rated 5 out of 5 by from Simply an awesome sleeping bag. I ordered the versalite about a month ago. I did tons of research b/c $500 is alot of money in my world. After much deliberation, I narrowed it down to this bag and a similar feathered friends bag. Ultimately I chose WM b/c I could not find a single negative review anywhere. I've tried the bag out twice now and I am absolutely thrilled with it. I truly cannot say enough good things about it. I consider myself a cold sleeper and was warm and toasty on a 25 degree night with no tent and nothing but a base layer on. The craftsmanship and attention to detail are impeccable, it packs down really small, it's super light, super comfortable, and super warm.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this bag! I recently bought this bag for cold shoulder season and Winter camping. So far, I have only used it once on a 29 degree (F) night, and it worked great! I usually wear down booties because while my body may be warm, my feet get cold. I did not bring booties on this outing, and I only had my Smartwool mountaineering socks on. My feet never even got close to chilling. From my gear test at 29 degrees (F), I can be confident this bad will hold up well below that temp. I would be fine using this bag down to 10 degrees (F). For context, I used this bag with a Nemo Cosmo Lite Insulated mat, and I was wearing mid weight synthetic long johns while sleeping.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best sleeping bag ever! I am a VERY cold sleeper, and after nearly freezing to death in only 40 degree weather in my previous sleeping bag, I said, "that's it. I don't care what it costs, I am never going to be cold again". I have used the Versalite backpacking in Utah at 30 degrees, motorcycle camping in the desert at 70 degrees, and in our camping trailers as well. The greatest thing about this bag is that it can adjust to a huge difference in temp range. At 30, I wear mid-weight baselayers and zip it clear up and cinch the hood. In warmer temps, I don't use the hood and I unzip it part way, all the way, or use it like a quilt. It is unbelievably versitile...hence the name I guess.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The absolute best bag ever!!! I bought the following bags: WM Ultralite, WM Aplinlite and the WM Versalite. All three bags had perfect seams, quality, workmanship etc. The Ultralite was a little too confining. The Alpinlite was a little too big, although I didn't get cold using it. Just seemed like there was too much space to warm up. ,,In comes the Versalite...it's right in between these two bags and is rated for a little bit colder temperatures. I'm 6'1 and 175 to give you some perspective. If you've tried both of the other bags i mentioned or are trying to decide, this one might be worth a try.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect Cocoon If you want to be warm and also want your bag to be light, tough, and comfortable, this is the bag. It's light enough to take on a multi-day extend trek and warm enough to keep you toasty through a snowy night. I first tested this bag during an overnight trip in the northern California Sierras, and it performed exactly as one would want. With the temperature around 25 degrees F., I was extremely warm. I felt like I was sleeping in a lodge with a down comforter in front of a large crackling fire; the over filled collar traps all the heat. If you keep this bag dry, it will keep you warm. This bag will not disappoint.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Cannot imagine a better sleeping bag The Versalite is absolutely incredible! I have used it in conditions ranging from 0F to about 65F, without ever getting cold or too hot. I am a woman, so it's comfort rating should be around 20F, but this bag can definitely be pushed far below that! Even if it's a warm night, you will want to cuddle with this bag. It's incredible how small it packs down (XS sack I believe), yet when you take it out, the Versalite is a huge, luxurious cloud. I have found this bag to be durable as well and absolutely no problems with the zipper. It hasn't shed much down at all, but you can always have them add more at their warehouse in San Jose, CA. Western Mountaineering continues to raise the bar.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Lightest Most Compressible 10* bag you will find! Western Mountaineering sets the bar that all other manufacturers reach for. I have used this bag for the last 3 years, it still looks and insulates like brand new. I can fit this sleeping bag, my Thermarest Neo-Air and a silk bag liner in a 10L sea to summit e-vent compression dry bag. I am currently on a 18 month cycling trip and this bag has done great so far. I will be in the Andes later this year and I have no doubts this bag will work exceptionally well! If you are in the market for a bag that is lightweight, highly compressable and will last for 10+ years than I would highly recommend this Versalite from WM! Forget the price because you can pass this bag down to your kids when you want to get a new one and it will serve them for years as well!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Superior quality bag.... warm and very light This is my second WM bag, and I am hooked. I tested this bag in 10 to 15 degree snowy weather (not counting the wind chill factor) inside my tent, and it came through with flying colors. I was plenty warm in just my power stretch base layers. I'd be confident to take this bag out in even colder weather if I had more clothing on. Quality in every way... snag-proof zipper, high loft, super light, snuggly hood, packs down small. I recommend this bag to any ultra light hiker. I'm saving up my points to get another WM bag. Thanks Moosejaw!
