Rated 5 out of 5 by from Outstanding Winter boot! There are excellent outdoor Winter work boots. I have had mine for two years now and I work outside all year around. These are waterproof and warm. The two things I demand in a boot. Very comfortable all day long. Easy to put on and take off. Great boot!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great boots that kept me warm Bought these boots for a 2 week photography trip into Yellowstone NP in early February. Most days temps were from 3 degrees in the morning to a high of 28-30 during the afternoon. Snow was around 4 ft deep and it snowed every day for the first 5 days. My feet were never too cold for me to stop what I was doing. The traction was great most of the time, and I put on ICEtrekkers when there was solid ice on the roads or trails. Longest time I spent just standing around in the boots was about 2 hours - someone had spotted a Bobcat that had gone into hiding across the Madison River and about 30 photographers stood around hoping it would come out (it did not). I wore smartwool sock liners with smartwool mountaineer socks. I usually wear size 11 but ordered size 12 to allow more sock room, but size 12 seemed too tight with the socks on. Switched to size 13 and they worked well except for hard snow hiking - then they were a little too loose to be completely comfortable. But there is no size 12.5 :(

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not for Standing Still I bought these boots for light snow activities i.e, shoveling, sledding etc for the New Jersey winters. Unfortunately, my toes are always cold within a few minutes, even with light activity and wool socks. However, I did have the occasion to do an hour plus hike in Vermont in heavy snow and with the activity they worked perfectly. All in all I would recommend these boots for anyone going to be doing aerobic activity in the winter/snow like hiking or snow shoeing. They are well made and comfortable, they are just not warm enough for standing still or light activity. I am going to have to find something else.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good looking, sturdy boot! Got this for the hubby for xmas and he's still breaking them in but so far, very happy. First, the couple of negatives that kept this from a perfect 5 stars review: 1. The boot is a bit on the heavy side... not your light as air hiker and 2. There is a row of stitching on the inside that chafes the side of the ankle if the boot is not tight enough. Solution: two pairs of socks and super-tight lacing seemed to solve the problem. On the positive side: the boots are really good looking. I got the black ones and they are awesome. They are warm as heck and so-far, totally water-proof. The tread is huge, like off-road jeep mud tires (probably what makes the boots heavy, but fantastic grip on our steep, frosty, gravel forest road). They are tall and lined all the way up past the ankle. The size is pretty accurate and the price was great for the quality. Overall, a very good boot.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for COLD WEATHER If you are looking for a great boot that will keep your feet warm...this is it! The Snowburban is a great comfortable boot for outdoor activities work or play. I do find the boot a bit tough to wear inside as it's a pretty heavy duty boot. Great looks, lots of compliments, you won't be disappointed in this great boot from Vasque.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Super Nice Boots I bought these boots before I went hiking through the Adirondack High Peak Region in November and I am really happy that I did. The boots arrived 2 days before I was set to leave and I was nervous on how they would perform without being broken in first. Vasque really did a job on these boots. I hiked 13.0 miles, 4,800ft, through streams, mud, ice and snow without any discomfort at all. My feet stayed warm and completely dry because of the UltraDry technology. Aggressive tread is great. Almost no slippage when walking on wet rocks and ice. Great ankle support. They are a little wide and bulky but, didn't effect performance or comfort. The Vasque Snowburban boot is comfortable, warm, light weight, and offers great ankle support.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lightweight and as warm as I needed Headed to the north slope of Alaska in October, I packed these boots with a little apprehension: would they be warm enough? After ten days on the tundra, the answer was a resounding yes. My toes were never once cold while on the move, and only after standing still in 20 degree weather for an hour did the slightest discomfort begin to register. These boots are now a prized part of my shoe quiver.
