Rated 4 out of 5 by from 2918 miles My sweetheart and I are currently walking across the United States and in order to walk across Wyoming in December and January we each got a pair of men's lost 40 boots. My sweetheart is pregnant so she needed help lacing them every day which made them less practical for our needs. Which I feel they largely made up for in comfort. We have had lots of pros and cons with these boots. One of the pros was definitely comfort. They are quite comfortable and very warm. Con, not very much ankle support especially for how far we walk each day along with weight on our backs. Pro, they go up high on the calf which adds additional warmth and provided extra waterproofing. The water proofing worked really well for about 5-6 weeks (around 300 miles) and then our feet started getting wet because we wore through the sole on the heel. The lacing was sort of a pro and con because it allowed us to tighten specific parts of the boot to our feet, ankles, and leg but at the same time it loosened throughout the day so we typically stopped once or twice to tighten them. I switched out the arch support which helped a lot with support however my sweetheart did not so her feet got pretty fatigued after about 5 to 6 miles. Ultimately these boots are awesome for walking around in the winter and mild hikes. If you plan to go on more challenging or long/strenuous walks or hikes then you will want to get something a little more supportive. Again, very warm and super comfortable I just think they are designed for medium to low level hikes.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from tight and not the traditional muk luks feel. A muk luks should be snug, not tight. And when opened up easy to slide into. This is tight and does not open up. A muk luks should not be made for performance hiking or trail running.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good boot, but... I bought a pair (11.5) for myself and a pair for my wife (6). I can get mine on/off no problem but my wife has very high arches and simply can't make the boot work. Too bad, because they are comfortable and warm, warmer than my Snowburbans,,,,,but, the lower lace has twice pulled away from the little closure stub....that shouldn't happen even once, and I'll now need to glue it into place. Fix that, and a you'll have a great boot.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Dual lacing system. My right foot is one inch wider then my left due to an old surgery. Being able to keep the bottom part of the boot loose while the top fits perfect was just what i needed!!!!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not enough support I love the look of this boot and how high it comes up my calf. But that is where the positives end. First, they're difficult to get on. They have no support in the ankle and an excess of material on the top of the foot. The pull strap on the top of the foot is quick and easy, but then there is no place to strap the excess and it just hangs on the ground. Plus overtime, as you walk and move, it loosens. The mechanism isn't very strong and you have to readjust the strings every 10 minutes or so.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Great idea, but not quite implemented correctly. I picked these up to replace my old Vasque Arrowhead Ultradry boots. I read reviews and purchased a size up from what I wear in my Vasque Sundowners and Ultradrys. Still they are too tight. But more importantly they are impossible to take off. I might have I torn a tendon in my ankle taking these off. I wonder if the folks at Vasque even tried these out before producing them?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Winter slipper on steroids! Took these out snowshoeing in Northern UT & they were great! Very comfortable, always warm/dry and didn't ever feel overheated. They worked well with the snowshoes, no pressure points from the bindings/straps etc...really appreciated how lightweight the boots are. If you want a little easier time putting them on, I'd suggest removing the liner, put your feet in the liner and then put on the shell using the pull tabs. Many winter boots can be clunky/stiff and these were definitely not, they performed great trekking and around town. I really like the style too. Grip was good, but was expecting better performance there.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from It works, it fits. If you use both the supplied pull hooks, they go on easy. I've got a size 12, and it's not a problem.
