Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Laptop Protection! I waited a few months to write this review as my initial response to this bag was "overall great design but lacking some internal compartments" I see on other TBK2 bags. I organize the main compartment with a couple of organizers. 1 for tech and 1 for personal hygiene stuff like moisturizer and anti bacterial wipes. The main reason I love this bag is its ability to expand and most importantly its laptop protection. When I set the bag down, my laptop does not feel the impact at all. I have owned many bags, either for commuting to work, and/or djing and this bag by far protects your technology the best. I've had a chance to use the rain sleeve as well, and these features bring the bag to 5 stars instead of my initial thought which was 4. I can easily look past the lack of internal compartments by enjoying the pockets the bag has externally and just using my own forms of organization on the inside. This bag can hold a lot so its crucial to keep things organized. The straps are comfortable and the back support is comfortable and cool. Even on long walks and a full bag I don't sweat nearly as much as with other bags. Thanks for designing a wonderful bag, I will definitely purchase the update if there ever is one!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Small I LOVE this brand and have used their backpack for years. The messenger bag is just as high quality and stylish. My only issue with it is the size. It's small...real small, but if you are hauling an iPad, then it's perfect size. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very nice Very nice backpack and i am very pleased with it but it is a bit too long for me, although i am pretty short so probably not an issue for everyone! Love this backpack mostly because it is very functional AND stylish :)

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good but not many compartments The material is very good quality. The fit is good, it stays pretty stable. I ride bike and it's good for riding, the bag stays in place while riding, however there's a few cons. 1: There's no way to reach any pocket while wearing the bag, that means if you want to keep your phone or other item at hand in a pocket you have to stop and take the bag off. 2: My biggest complain about this bag: There's no internal compartments for organizing stuff, that means, all your items are simply dumped into large pockets, in other words, small items like pens, screws, thumbdrives, business cards, small cables, small headphones, whatever small thing you carry everyday will end up in the bottom of the bag. How can there not even be a single pen holder? or a single internal pocket smaller than 15 inches?

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Carryon Backpack for Travel! This backpack was recommended to me by the guys at Timbuk2 at the Venice store. It's really hard to find a travel backpack that will fit under the seat in flight, carry a 17" laptop, plus a week's worth of clothes (including 1 suit), makeup/toiletries, electronic cords and a pair of black heels. This backpack did all that plus with a bit of room to spare! It was way better than my old Ogio backpack that I was carrying. It had enough pockets but not to the point that it had so much organization that I couldn't make use of the pocket. While I am only 4'11" and by the time it was filled, the pack was a bit heavy, it met all my expectations and still looked sleek. I bought the surplus color and am extremely pleased with my purchase. As a previous reviewer commented, it's not really made for a short person but I'm willing to overlook that considering I only have to take one carryon bag on my flight that has everything I need for the week. Totally recommend this for those of you who are more on the minimalist side of traveling and don't like the hassle of checking in bags.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Legit Backpack I've been using this backpack for about two weeks now and my primary use is during my commute to and from work. I usually have my laptop, my gym clothes, my lunch/snacks, my water bottle, my kindle, and random odds and ends each day. Initially the vertical design was a bit off putting as I am used to a rounder bag (I used the Swissgear Upload for about 3 years). Once I got a bit more comfortable with the vertical design I found the distribution of weight to be better than my previous backpack. I love this bag for all the unique compartments. I've been in the rain a few times and nothing inside the bag got wet which was great. The reason I give this 4 stars instead of 5 is because I do find the bag itself to be heavier than my Swissgear Upload. I think the trade off though is that the Parker Pack is made of a lot more durable material and will hopefully last me for a long time. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing Backpack! I couldn't be happier with the Parker Pack! I have been looking for a solid, multi-use backpack for a long time since I commute daily to the gym and to work. I need something that can house ALOT of stuff while not being super bulky. This backpack not only delivers but exceeds my expectations. I actually can't wait to use it when I got on my next vacation because it's so functional. Some highlights for me: - Side entry point for laptop. This means you don't have to open up the main compartment every time you need to pull out your computer. You can just grab it quickly through the side zipper. - You can add more volume / space - There's a zipper that wraps around the backpack that allows you to add more volume if you need more room. This is amazing because I didn't want a huge backpack IN CASE I needed more room. This is much more flexible. - Rainfly covering - There's a little hidden compartment underneath (it's so hidden it was actually hard to find!) that houses a protective covering for the WHOLE backpack for rainy days. This is great for me since I commute in a large city and it can rain frequently. Being able to protect the whole backpack instantly is an amazing benefit that I didn't even know existed for any backpack. If you want a backpack that's stylish, functional and will last, then I'd recommend this on in a second. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Useful for very specific uses This backpack has a bunch of pros and cons to it, and I find it can be useful, but only in very specific ways. It's more like a suitcase and less like a day bag. The design of the backpack is a little boring, but there are a bunch of pockets (some zippers and some are Velcro). The inside pocket is great and has room for a laptop so that you don't need to have a carrying case for it. All of the rest of the pockets can be found on the front of the backpack. I don't care for this feature because as I travel on the subway, I am conscious of pickpockets. (It probably would be noticeable if someone tried to pickpocket you though, due to the design). The backpack is kind of heavy for a backpack when it is empty. The straps are very soft and comfortable, as they have ample padding. I love that there are snaps that you can put at the chest and the waist, much like a hiking day pack to alleviate stress from your back. Another cool thing is the expander (like on a suitcase) in case you have some bulky items for the inside. The expander, though, does not seem like it will fit many groceries or awkwardly-shaped objects like a typical backpack would. Overall, if you plan on commuting with a laptop and a few other typical work items everyday, or are trying to travel on the light side, I think this would be a pack. If you are looking to use it for gym clothes or non-business-related uses, you might be better off getting something with a little more flex and utility. Full disclosure: I received this backpack as a sample. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
