Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solid all-weather bag I bike 10 miles to work each day and carry a change of clothes, breakfast, bike gear and personal items with me. I bike in all weather--rain, sleet, snow--and I need a rugged bag. This is it. It is incredibly light, has a comfy and secure shoulder strap and is water-tight even in downpours. The incognito reflective panels are great, as I light up like a Christmas tree in headlights. The two issues I've had are, first, the lack of an external pocket to stow my phone and ID badge, and second, the weak cross-strap buckle. Because the strap is meant to be universal, the buckle has a slit in it for adjustment. Well, that makes the buckle fail quickly under moderate stress. I threaded a keychain ring in its place so it will stay put (see picture).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Biking Bag I Have Been Looking For I have been looking for a good biking bag to hold a laptop and not feel it moving around or the bag sliding. The bag fits incredibly well especially with the cross strap and there is virtually no movement with 15" Apple MBP (heavier than normal laptop). My con is likely what helps it ride so well on my back but you need take off hat/sunglasses to get bag over your head - strap has been extended and I am 6'5" which may also have something to do with it. Honestly have tried several bags and this one does the job. Full disclosure have not tried this in the rain but also one of the reasons why I purchased. WELL worth the money.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Uncomfortable; Buckle jabs into back Poor design. This was my first messenger bag and I was pretty excited about it at first. I intended to use it as my work bag (I bike to work), however, this messenger is extremely uncomfortable to wear when loaded. There is a buckle behind the carrying handle that jabs into my upper back when the bag is carrying rigid items like a computer or books. I didn't notice this buckle when trying it on at the store because the bag was empty. After carrying my 15" Macbook Pro and a few books during my first day of use, the shape and weight of the items started to dig the buckle into the middle of my back. Lastly, I wish this messenger had at least one easily accessible compartment (you have to open the main velcro flap to access any of the compartments). A Napoleon pocket would have been nice on this bag.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A great bag! I bike to work every day with a 15" Macbook Pro. This bag is perfect for carrying my laptop, clothes, and other necessities. It's roomy, with lots of pockets for organization, and closes very securely. The only nit I have to pick is, it would be the world's most perfect bag if it had a little outside pocket so I could fish out my keys without taking the bag off. Other than that, I love it and would highly recommend it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Traffic stopping! I commute to work, school, and everywhere really. I was using an old timbuk2 backpack that wasn't waterproof. My parents knew I was looking for a new bag, they chose this one for me so I could still transport my pup around to dog parks and coffee shops. I can carry my pup and laptop in here. Also clothes for when I get to work, and a few days worth of groceries! I love it! And it definitely holds up in the rain! Fantastic buy, though I wish it had a small outside pocket.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It´s a Timbuk2, do I need to say more? Ambidextrous strap, a must for a left handed like me. Lightweight, ideal for carrying multiple electronics, my lunch (in glass containers), and everything else. Durable and waterproof materials, a necessity for tropical conditions (Costa Rica). Good looking, yup, I can see you staring at it. The variable volume is awesome. It just needs one more pocket, on the outside, for cellphone, keys and change. It´s my fourth Timbuk2, all of them awesome.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Lightweight and comfortable I'm a bicycle commuter and regularly use a messenger bag on my daily route. Previous bags used extensively were a med seagull black bag, rickshaw small & med, and a chrome large messenger. All of those great bags but each with comfort or weight issues or both. Found a deal on a large especial claro and purchased it. Two weeks of using this bag and i can tell you I'm going to sell the others. Simply put, this bag is very comfortable and is really lightweight. It's also got a subdued style and tonal branding which i really appreciate. Will swallow all your daily gear and then some. Padded section for your lappy and a zippered admin area for smaller items and pens. Cool reflective features and a quick cinch strap. The large is pretty big but will compress if the roll top strap is used. Medium would probably be best for most daily commuters. Great build quality timbuk2 is known for. Only nitpick is that when worn and when the flap is velcro'd down, it's not as quick or easy to get into as other bags with clips or buckles. The velcro section is large and makes for an annoying rrrriiiipp when opened. I use the roll top feature when in the office so i don't bother my workmates. Great bag.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for rainy day commuters! My boyfriend needed a new bag for starting law school. We live in Seattle, and he intends to bike in to UW as often as possible, so I wanted him to have a bag that was big enough for all his books, his laptop, and some spare clothes. This bag is perfect, big and comfortable, and looks ready to hold up to our wet weather. Not to mention, it is a bright color, with some pretty smart reflective patches. My family thought it looked pretty cool, and my brother just bought one of your backpacks because of it. Thank you!
