The Therm-a-Rest Z-Lite Sleeping Pad is an ultralight, three-season camping mattress that is perfect for those go-anywhere, sleep-on-anything treks and bivies where every ounce counts. With a weight less than a pound, this mattress literally can go anywhere easily. All-new proprietary foams on the Z-Lite are softer on top for extra comfort and denser on the bottom for extra durability. Therm-a-Rest's closed-cell foam is incredibly durable, providing an exceptional value and many years of worry-free performance. For simple packing, the accordion shape packs more comfort into a smaller space than any other closed-cell foam mattress out there. The Therm-a-Rest Z-Lite Sleeping Pad is the best choice for when you need a comfortable night's sleep, but prefer to not deal with the weight and bulk most other sleeping pads come with.

ThermaCapture

ThermaCapture
ThermaCapture Radiant Heat Technology is a proprietary reflective coating that we apply to a range of surfaces. By reflecting radiant heat back to your body that is otherwise lost, this extremely lightweight coating turns that surface into a very efficient heat reflector, amplifying warmth without the excess weight or bulk of added, conventional insulating materials.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Does the job at reasonable price Bought to pair with Big Agnes Haybro sleeping bag. Pad worked well for sound sleeping. Not crinkly under bag as some UL inflatable pads are. Works as nice ground pad around camp or to keep stuff out of dirt / wet grass. Has decent R value for most camping / backpacking needs. Can be a challenge to pack. Likely will need to strap on pack bottom or side.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Lightweight & Works Well Enough I bought this sleeping pad for my first ever backpacking trip. It's super lightweight and easy to bungee to a pack, fit in my Grand Trunk double hammock for sleeping, and kept my back warm on the ground. It doesn't provide a lot of support or squish, but works well enough for how low the price is! I don't think it's worth it to buy a more expensive mat since I'm already sleeping in the woods! If you need a lot of support and comfort, I'd say to look at the blow up ones, but this worked well enough for me.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Easiest to Setup / Not Noisy If you wanna be a writer, you're gonna be living in a van down by the river. You're gonna need a sleeping pad, or if you're like me and you don't even own the van and you don't want to wake those passing by, you're gonna want a closed cell foam sleeping pad. I've tried a lot of pads, from a few from big box stores, to Thermarest X-Lite and Pro-Lite and drain your wallet X-Therm most recently. I always go back to this pad. The pro-lite doesn't have much padding and is a bi*** to roll back up and get into the stuff sack. The X-Lite sounds like a bag of loud potato chips, but it does pack up in the stuff sack quite nicely. The X-Therm, the big one at 25 x 77 or so is easiest to roll up , is comfortable, fits in an Outdoor Research Aurora Bivy, and I returned it because it is hecka hecka loud. Let her rip, tater chip. Nothing is self-inflating. A $40 pad from a big box store started self-inflating more than the X-Therm, which takes about 25 deep breaths and some dizzy spells. Now, the X-Therm and X-Lite are fo shore packable, and the Z-Lite is like carrying a 15 oz 20" accordion on the outside of your pack. Howeva, the Z-Lite is easy to unroll, easy to roll (especially when using it for long periods of time, no need to keep blowing it up like the inflatables), it doesn't pop, and you don't need to take out a loan to purchase one. Now, it's not very padded. It's not even an inch thick. It's better than a hardwood floor (I don't own a bed, so I would know). It's basically a barrier between you and the cold ground, but as Jim Carrey would say, "let me tell you something", it's not noisy, and it's a heck of a deal. I know it doesn't pack up into a small sack and is not super padded, but this isn't a sleep number bed, it's a 15 oz or so sleep pad, and in my humble opinion, it's the best available. I just wish it came in a 25x77 and in black. Happy trails.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Minimal weight and set up, minimal comfort I bought two of these for my girlfriend and I. They are very light and durable and pack up very quickly. They are not the most comfortable pad out there, but they do the job. Not the warmest pad either. I am contemplating adding one more layer, possibly a inflatable pad for on top.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Who doesn't love these? One great thing about this pad that gets overlooked is how many uses there are outside of it being a sleeping mat. You can fold it in different ways and make a chair if you have something to lean against, you can sit on it in a lightning storm and be protected, you can use it as a wind screen when you're trying to cook, it's just an essential piece of equipment.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product This is exactly what I was looking for both comfortable and lightweight, Its very easy to attach to the outside of my pack and I don't even know it's there. Water proof and durable. It's a great supplement to my inflatable pad and helps keep me off the ground and warm when I'm climbing and have to pitch my tent on a snow field.
