ThermaCapture

ThermaCapture
ThermaCapture Radiant Heat Technology is a proprietary reflective coating that we apply to a range of surfaces. By reflecting radiant heat back to your body that is otherwise lost, this extremely lightweight coating turns that surface into a very efficient heat reflector, amplifying warmth without the excess weight or bulk of added, conventional insulating materials.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great insulator and comfy too! Love how easy it is to deflate and compress. Also the packed size is spectacular! Just used this for one week while on a course camping and kayaking with students. The "crinkle" complaint in previous reviews was concerning to me, but really was not an issue at all during use for me. Wish it was a little bit longer and wider though. After two nights' sleep the pad deflated quite a bit - couldnt find any punctures, it sure why it lost loft. Overall really great product!! Can't wait to moto tour with it :)

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Crinkle McCrinkley Pad I love almost everything about this mattress. It was easy to inflate was a great size and extremely warm. I could feel my body heat radiating back at me which would be great for cold camping. Unfortunately the crinkle sound it made every time I shifted my weight was too much. I have heard it gets quieter with use but I didnt want to risk it. Maybe it would be okay for solo camping.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Met expectations I read reviews that this was a crinkly and noisy yet comfy mattress and everyone was right. Love the mattress but felt bad everytime I rolled over, which is often. I'll keep it but secretly wish I'd bought the larger less insulated women's version.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Super light and warm Love this sleeping pad! I decided to upgrade from my thermarest trail light (which is also fantastic!) for something lighter, but didn't want to give up the insulation. This was perfect! Material feels durable and it comes with a super compact repair kit that I will just keep in the carrying case for emergency use as it weights next to nothing. I was shocked at how well it insulates considering the low weight but it's just as warm as a self inflating mattress. Only downside is it feels smaller than my trail light, though this might just be because it sits higher off the ground so if your legs or arms dangle over the edge it's more noticeable. Might consider going for a larger (men's?) size if you are taller or want a little extra surface area under you.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Used more than I imagined I got this a couple of months ago and since then have used it on various camps and in my office when my mother ended up taking over my room for a fortnight. It has got to the point where I am as used to sleeping on it as my bed. I like the extra insulation it gives over the foam self inflating mattress I had before and the extra cushioning for aging hips. The women's option means not having to carry wasted mattress for my height. My tip is to allow for how cold it is likely to get when inflating. Go for a full fill if chill will reduce the volume of air as the night progresses. If it is likely to be warm then under inflate so you sink into the mattress a little and then don't roll off.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from VERY WARM Great sleeping pad, but can be a bit loud at night- it make crinkle sounds whenever you move around, also i found that it deflates a bit if it is very cold out. aside from those things it has served me well!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Warm, Luxurious Sleep! I took this camping in Big Sur last month and it was great, save for a few things - which are sort of exactly why I bought it, so I'm conflicted. It's a 66" pad, and I am a 67" woman - I thought this would be fine, but my toes dangling at the bottom did bother me. Make sure you're okay with this (or put your pack under your feet, maybe.) The other thing is that because it's more human-shaped than rectangle-shaped, it saves weight, but it is quite narrow - could be a little too narrow for me at the shoulders, because I'm a not-small 67" woman. HOWEVER, the sleep was great, I did not find it rustly/crackly at all, and as a side sleeper, my hip bones FINALLY did not hit the ground. Hallelujah.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Finally, a good night's sleep... Seriously, just get it. You're going to end up upgrading later on anyway, so you might as well buy it now and at least you'll get that much more use out of it. Super lightweight, packable, and incredibly comfortable, once you sleep on this you will wonder how you ever did without it. Not only will you be comfortable at night, but your next day will be that much better! It does take some air to puff up, but when you're camping, you're usually not too pressed for time, or lung power. A good night's sleep is well worth it.
