The Therm-a-Rest Treo Chair is a camp chair for relaxed seating by the fire, next to the lake, and anywhere else you need a seat. The 4.5" x 10.5" packed dimensions are deceiving, but the Treo packs a big punch, able to handle up to 250 lbs, and opens to a height of 13 inches. That's right, get in and out of the chair without looking a fool! The two pound, three ounce weight allows you to toss it into a backpack or even just carry in your hand. The strong, 6000-series aluminum frame combines with a durable nylon/Dyneema sling to hold you up when you need to kick back and relax.

Products on Sale are Discontinued Styles or Colors.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Broke after less than 40 use days in just 2 years I bought the chair at a Touratech travel event in June 2016 despite its prize as it came highly recommended due to its small pack size and stability. I was very happy with the product during about 3 motorcycle holidays with camping. However, after less than 40 use days in 2 years, one foot of the chair broke. The chair is for a max load of 120 kg. The actual weight was less than 75 kg when I used it. Thus, I am very disappointed from the product which obviously broke after the warranty ended. Therefore: very good idea but not the right quality for reliable use. M. Lypp

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It is great seat for bad lower backs. I spend hours in it. I am missing a part of my 5th lumbar, have a degenerative disc, with stenosis, and a mild spondylolithesis. Basically a bad back. Sitting for long periods without using the TREO is painful. It lifts my legs to the correct height for straightening the lower spine and supports my arms just right for holding a book. I use it to recover from overdoing: yard work , hiking and camping, standing too long in my wood shop, playing with my grandchildren, etc. It is an aid that is constantly with me. One of the pockets that slide over the posts has worn through and needs replacing. The other three pockets are showing wear and tear. The designers might give thought to stronger materials.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Plastic base snapped within a few months.. The chair was great for the first 3 months of use. Some wobbles, but nothing unexpected. I don't think I'm especially heavy (130lb) and am very careful to always sit down lightly to avoid tipping or putting unnecessary strain on the chair. 20 minutes into sitting, the plastic base snapped at the hinge. This should not happen for such an expensive chair..

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Broken pole replacement I do enjoy the 2 chairs my husband and I received as a wedding gift however the poles on 1 chair have the same pole issue with the small silver bit in the ends that others have described. I am looking to replace the poles but cannot find a set of just poles anywhere and this is proving pretty frustrating. I do not want to get rid of the chairs as it is a waste as they work great with functioning poles.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Comfortable, portable, but the poles have issues I have two of them, and the crowd is in awe whenever I pull it out to set it up or I'm packing it away. Love the compact nature of it, fits nicely in my Harley sidebags, in my Jeep or for hiking. However, I use it quite often and the front poles are a concern. The silver tips (nipples) slide up into the pole, making them unusable, and the plastic clips have snapped. I have used a pliers to pull the silver nipple back out but any movement in my chair as I'm sitting just pushes them back in, making the chair unstable. I had originally recommended these to anyone looking for compact, comfortable traveling chairs, but I can no longer comfortably recommend them. I'm going to start looking at replacing them w/ a Helinox or Eno chair. I will also be contacting Thermarest for warranty consideration. 3 star for comfort and compact, it's still a nice bit of gear, just not a 5. Fix that pole issue and I'll change my mind immediately - I otherwise love them!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great chair! This chair is pretty sweet. What sold it for me was the fact that it packed into its own hardshell (protective) container (no sack to lose), it gets you up off the ground, relatively lightweight, and the surface area of the feet are relatively wide (makes sitting on soft surfaces like sand easier). The only drawbacks are that it can be difficult to make comfortable on soft surfaces (but it's not horrible), It's not the lightest, and the seat fabric is not breathable at all (sweat factory). The only real reason this isn't a five star chair is because of the non-breathable seat fabric; however, if you buy the new black one, it has a breathable mesh back so that should solve that problem. Would definitely recommend!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The BEST!! I bought this before going on a 5 day backpacking trip in North Carolina and I sure am glad I did! By far one of the best camping chairs on the market. I absolutely love how lightweight it is, hardly noticeable inside my pack! It was so great the guy that did the hike with me bought one the moment we got back within cell phone coverage!! Highly recommended, double thumbs up!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from rod issues I have two chairs, which we love, but both chairs have had the silver section of the front rods pushed into the pole. The company needs to get this issue corrected. I am going to ask for replacement rods because I do like the chairs when not broken.
