Rated 4 out of 5 by from Rain, rain go away! The women's venture jacket is an exceptional piece of outerwear for wicking away rain...and coffee spills. I purchased it in the red color, which is not very well depicted on screen, it's more accurate on the official north face website. Anyway, I love the color; it's so vibrant! However, I do wish I would have bought a smaller size. I'm 5'5'', 115 lbs and the small was too big! I kept it because I'm impatient, though it's a bit baggy. As a college student, this jacket is perfect for those 'flash flood' situations that I always seem to get caught up in after leaving class. Overall, a practical and charming solution to the rainy day.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from For a student on a budget, this jacket is awesome. I purchased the Venture Jacket after doing some comparison shopping (also looked at the Patagonia Torrentshell Jacket) and am really happy with my purchase. Thus far I have used it running around campus in downpours, hiking in Northern Michigan and on a very recent camping trip to western PA. It worked great in keeping off the rain and was comfortable with a light fleece underneath. It also gets some major points for actually fitting well. More than anything I appreciate such a high quality product for such a reasonable price. Being in grad school I can't really afford most gore-tex products so its great to find products that deliver that I can actually afford.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best All-Around Rain Jacket Ever Created EVER I do a lot of extreme things like take my 4 year old outside to jump in mud puddles. I run in the rain to pick her up from preschool. Sometimes I go biking in a light drizzle. Sometimes I feed the dog in a down pour. Every now and then I go off adventuring and go hiking, kayaking, camping, and other awesome things. I've had a Venture Jacket since 2007 and recently upgraded to a younger, hotter model. This is, by far, the best most awesomely amazingly comfortable, durable, portable, and dependable jacket I have ever owned. Everyone is jealous of the electrifying blue hue of my new jacket and marvels at how dry I stay when it rains. All the other carpool mommies envy me.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Jacket... Right Size I just received this jacket & am so happy! I'm '5 "4 & 130 lbs, & after reading the reviews about sizing and it running a bit large, decided to get a small. I’m glad I did! I have another North Face Jacket (I can't recall the name, but it's one of the "puffy" ones that really isn't too puffy & is close fitting) that’s a medium. I was able to put my medium jacket on first, & the small Venture jacket still fit over it. So with that said, I’ll be able to use my Venture jacket both alone in the warm weather & over my coat when it’s cold. It's been raining all week, so I can't wait to put it on & "venture" outside to try it out. Thanks Moosejaw, for providing a great product at a great price!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Discontinued Colors Rock! I bought this jacket for an adventure on the John Muir Trail in California and climbing a couple 14ers in Colorado. I went with a medium (I'm 5'9'' and 140lbs) in baja blue (who wants to pay for current colors?) and I LOVE THIS JACKET! The size is perfect, especially for layering, and I love the bungee pulls at the bottom so I can cinch it when things get especially crazy. It's super light weight and breathable so I know I can take it on the longest of trail runs without getting too hot or weighed down. Plus, it came with a sweet Moosejaw sticker which is totally going on my new laptop. Boom!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from No Buyer's Remorse Here! This jacket is extremely light (think piece of paper) but it is sturdy and definitely holds up to the rain. I have to say the hood does a come a little far forward which can obstruct your view a bit, but then again, it's raining so you probably can't see much anyway. It's nice and long enough to cover your butt, and with the elastics it is pretty adjustable so you can loosen/tighten to your perfect fit. I ordered a size up so I can wear a sweater underneath, and so far I love it. If I had to do it all over again, this is still the jacket I would choose.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Would probably keep you dry in a hurricane... I took this jacket to Belize with me, and then to Hawaii. I also live in Syracuse, NY which is notorious for rainy springs (and snowy may have heard...). This jacket has kept me dry through everything, and there have been some pretty impressive downpours. It's very light and loose enough to be worn over other layers ,so it's perfect for hiking. I also row for my school's crew team and I am able to wear it to practice if I need to stay dry, and it really does the job. Highly recommend (unless you want to get wet...that's cool too)!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This jacket is light, looks great, and keeps you dry. I am a beginning outdoors adventurer, and all I wanted was a super light-weight raincoat that I could pack without taking pretty much any room. This jacket from Northface did the job! I am 5'2" and 110 lbs, ordered a small, and it fits nicely with plenty of extra room to spare for layering underneath. I have only gotten to wear this bad boy in the rain once, but I was very pleased with its performance. I made it to my destination dry as can be and it also kept me warm with a light breeze outside. I would definitely recommend this product!
