DryVent™ 2L, 100% nylon plain weave fabric is 100% waterproof to keep your clothing dry and body warm whenever the city is caught in a downpour. The drop hood is removable, so when the days are mild you can ditch the hood and let your hair out. The front pockets feature 2-way entry; zippered side entry for your hands and top-flap closure for a pair of liner gloves or a city map. Jump on the train to get to the city center and take on the day, exploring shops or even just heading to work.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great for a mild rainy day Just got this jacket to fight the Fall in New England. I wasn't sure of the size to get as most people claimed it ran slightly small, especially around the hip area. I did the "Find your size" guide and was told that my best fit would be with a M (Im typically a S), but I figured go with the guide. it arrived just the other day and I immediately tried it on with a larger semi bulky sweater. The fit was slightly larger in the chest area, but the waist and hips felt find. Belting on the smallest option seemed to work best. my issue is always sleeve length and these are definitely too long along with what feel like very wide sleeves. I was able to slightly cuff the sleeve and that appears to have done the trick. I enjoy the removable hood and hidden pockets. (about me- 5'0, 130lbs, 34c chest, semi athletic build- I find that sometimes just height and weight done help). Ill be keeping this size as I think with a heavier sweater it would work, however I may pop into my local store to try the small!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Awesome jacket I bought this jacket because I wanted a good quality raincoat that also had some style to it. I ordered a small, I'm 5'3" and 135 lbs. Its not a good raincoat for heavy rain but can handle light rainy weather.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Fits too small. It's too tight. I just got it, and I like the looks of it. It is stylish and lightweight, with lots of pockets. I am 5.8" and 150 pds, I am not oversized and I usually wear a M. This one is very tight on my hips and waist and I tried it with only a T-shirt on. I could definitely not be able to wear a sweater underneath. I will change it for a L.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great jacket for a blustery and rainy(but not super cold day Cute jacket. It may run a fuzz big, I'm usually a medium or large and I went with the medium on this one. 5'6" 155 lbs athletic build. Got the gray and the blue color to try and liked both, but went with the gray as I think it would go with more of my wardrobe.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Jacket I wanted a longer coat that was easy to wear when the weather isn't the best. This is definitely the jacket I was looking for. I usually wear a medium but decided to go with a small and it fit perfectly. The only con is that it isn't insulated so I will need a heavy sweater in colder temperatures.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I would recommend this jacket I purchased the small and I'm 5'6, 135lbs. The jacket is a loose fit and I find the sleeves are too big. The black is more of a blue black.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love everything about this jacket! I bought this a few weeks ago to wear at cold & rainy lacrosse games and it has been great. I can layer a fleece for extra warmth and it blocks the wind really well. I'm 5'10" and the sleeves are a perfect length for me. I love the extra length in back too.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Sizing wasn't perfect I love the color of this jacket (light mahogany tweed). The arms were a little too big for my build, and so was the waist. Once I buckled it to the tightest fit, it bunched a little on the sides and it looked like I was trying too hard to make it fit. I am 5'8'', 140 lbs, size 6 waist, 34 bust. I probably would've kept it for half the price but I returned it and will try another jacket later. The jacket does seem a little light but I wouldn't know how it measures up to the weather. Shipping also took 1.5 weeks longer than original estimate.

What would your suggestion be if I plan on wearing it over a suit? Should I size up?

Asked by: EELGAL
Hiya Eel Gal, thanks for your question! Unless you are wearing a suit constructed from a thick material, you should be fine with your normal size. Hope this helps!

How warm is this jacket? Is it insulated in anyway? I'm looking for a spring and fall rain coat, in windy conditions with a hood. Other suggestions in a white XL, womens, thigh high would be helpful. Thank you.

Asked by: Evie
Hey there, Thanks for reaching out to us! Got a lot to cover here! First off, this coat does not have a temperature rating. In fact, most coats do not have temperature ratings. This is for several reasons. Mainly, it's because warmth is a subjective thing, unique to each person. Not only that, but there are other factors that can affect a person's (jacket's) warmth: wind, humidity, activity level, what else your wearing, etc. Because this is rain jacket, the insulation is not going to be extreme. I'm showing the solid shell is going to be DryVent™ 2L—100% nylon plain weave and the tweed shell DryVent™ 2L—100% polyester, not too bad! For a spring and fall rain coat, this will be perfect! For other options, I'd check out the TNF Kindling, or even TNF Resolve Parka Jacket. Hope this helps you out!

Is this The North Face Women's Tomales Bay Jacket waterproof and windproof?

Asked by: Julia
Hey there! Thanks for reaching out to us. This jacket is in fact super waterproof. It has an impenetrable moisture barrier to guarantee dryness. It does have a wind protection fabric that limits air penetration and reduces the windchill factor. It is a great layer for nasty outside conditions.
