Rated 5 out of 5 by from AMAZING! I LOVE this product! I ordered it as a replacement for my older Surge Backpack that lasted me for 6 years even though I used it everyday for classes and used for traveling because it is more convinient than using a pulling carryon. I love some of the new changes they made such as, the move comfortable straps, the stylish look and the padding supplied for electronics! One thing I do miss is a place to tuck in hip straps if you dont use them.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Roomy and comfortable I really like North Face products, so when the zippers broke on the North Face backpack I'd had for 4+ years, I decided to get another backpack from them. I love the look of this backpack -- it's stylish and professional looking without being totally boring. It also has a TON of room for your stuff. I usually carry my 15" laptop, books, and charger when I commute to grad school, but the backpack also works well for overnight or weekend trips. While you CAN fit tons of stuff in there, you have to watch out for it getting extremely heavy. One con is that, as others have said, it does not stand up on its own at all and will fall down if not leaning against something. I didn't think I would care about this, but it is pretty annoying when you want to have it next to you for easy access and it just flops down on the floor. I'm also not sure how durable it will be, because the material and zippers feel less sturdy than my old backpack. I'm hoping that's just to make it more lightweight without compromising on durability, because if I spend this much on a backpack I want it to last. But we'll see.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Exactly what I was looking for I use this as a commuting bag for work. I walk to work and frequently have to carry a heavy, antiquated, work-issue laptop back and forth so cute totes are not functional. This is comfortable, has a great pocket that fits my huge laptop and still fits my lunch and whatever else I need to carry while offering materials that don't look like I'm going to school ron heading out backpacking for the weekend.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from No regrets I wasn't sure I wanted to spend this much on a book bag but I love it! It's big enough for me to carry my books around my college grounds and doesn't hurt my shoulders. I also plan on using it when I travel out of the country, it's roomy and will hold a bunch of stuff. The only thing is that it doesn't fall over when I put it down but it's not too big of a deal for me

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best backpack ever I highly recommend this backpack. It's got so many compartments and it's super durable. It's extremely comfortable. I lug my purse, computer, workout clothes, gym shoes, lunch, and little knick knacks in this every day. Doesn't hurt my back like most others.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Would NOT buy this backpack The overall design of this backpack is disappointing. The most frustrating thing about this backpack for me was that it will not stand on its own. Second, I cannot fit all of my books and notebooks comfortably. I have three 1inch binders, two notebooks and two small textbooks and have to switch them out for my classes which causes me to forget things sometimes. In my opinion this backpack is very tall, the extra space in the height of this backpack should be used to make it wider so that it can accommodate more books.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Pockets and Practicality! I bought this backpack for school since I needed one that could hold my laptop, books, work out clothes, etc. I chose the asphalt grey heather/quail grey because of its subtle pink hue, but in person it's actually more of a lavender hue, which is okay with me. It has a lot of pockets and is made of high quality material, which is important to me. As far as its longevity, I am not sure how long it will last since I just purchased it, but it seems that it will endure. I enjoy a lot of pockets since it makes organization is easy, and the front two make it easily accessible for me to access things like my keys and phone. Before purchasing, I looked at other reviews, and many have said it doesn't stand or it is too big. I do agree that it will not stand on its own, but I am fine with leaning it against something or laying it flat. As far as it being too big, I think it's bigger than most standard backpacks like the Herschel Pop Quiz one I have, but it's not super huge. For reference, I am around 5'4", and it covers my whole back. It does give you the look that you are going hiking, which is something that doesn't bother me. Water bottle pockets on the side aren't as deep as I would like, which is why I give it 4 stars instead of 5. It can probably securely hold a 17-ounce bottle, but not the huge Hydroflasks or the Takeya ones. Overall, lots of pockets, and really practical with a student-worker lifestyle.
