Rated 5 out of 5 by from Critical piece of equipment So I wouldn't go anywhere without this jacket. It is my second from North Face (the first one was left too close to a fire otherwise I would have not needed to replace it) and I'm glad I stuck to the brand. It looks sleek and not terribly bulky but gives me enough room to move and have as many layers underneath as needed. Like some other reviewers have said, the hood on this jacket is actually useable and works well. It's also long enough to cover the back of your pants which is important when it's seriously raining. Sometimes it's hard for me to decide between small or medium and for this one the small worked just fine. I'm 5 ft 7 in and 135 lbs.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from NOT WATERPROOF Do not buy this jacket if you want something that is truly waterproof! I cannot tell you how sick I am of products being advertised as "waterproof" that are at best, water resistant. I expected better from the North Face. I bought this explicitly because I needed something to be actually water PROOF for biking and hiking in the rain. I wore this today in moderately heavy rain to the post office and back today--about 20 min total in the rain, and water was soaking through all over the place. My phone was zipped up in one of its pockets and was wet, and my shirt under the jacket was all wet. This truly is unacceptable for an item advertised to be waterproof. Do not buy this!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Get this jacket. I bought this jacket before heading to Wyoming for a two-week camping trip. We camped in 4 feet of snow the first night, then spent several rainy days in Yellowstone, and ended our trip with a streak of sunshine and intermittent storms. I literally wore this jacket every day! It was great in the cooler temps with a few layers underneath, kept me totally dry during the soggy periods, and fit well rolled up in my small daypack during hikes. I am a very petite woman (just shy of 5') and the XS fits great. Torso is a bit short though.,,,,I actually I bought last year's model (in a discontinued color) for less right here on you might want to check it out! ,,

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Favorite Rain Jacket The Resolve jacket is definitely my go-to rain jacket. I live in the north-west corner of Washington state and it's safe to say that we see our fair share of rainy days-about 9 months worth. I love hiking and doing things out doors, but with the amount of precipitation we get, it can be a challenge to stay dry. I have two of these and i hardly ever leave home without them! theyre light weight, extremely waterproof and slim fitting. I had previously bought one of the venture jackets, and the boxy fit was not a match for my body type. I have a slender but very long torso and finding jackets that are long enough is a chalenge. but the resolve fits like it was made for me! 10/10 will buy another.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Shorty Pants! I am a 5'1.5" 19 y/o girl. I bought this jacket for my trip to Brazil, since I hear it rains a lot. I wore it during a freak thunderstorm here at home, and I had to ride my bike down the road for the neighbors, and came home completely dry and a little toasty. I bought it in a medium, and its large enough to put a sweater under or something, but because I personally am so short, the sleeves and body are a little long. The hood doesn't stay as well as I'd like, or maybe because that was I was wearing a pony tail, but besides that, I LOVE it. :)

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Jacket I like this jacket better than the Venture jacket. Though both jackets are lightweight, the Resolve has a mesh lining and the Venture does not. As a result, the Venture sticks to your skin and it's like wearing a trash bag. The only complaints I have are that it doesn't have a fabric "hook" for hanging and that the hood adjustment cords do not have a plastic piece to keep them in place. Customers should know this jacket runs a bit small. Only order a larger size if you plan to wear bulky items underneath. If wearing a thin layer or t-shirt, normal size should be fine.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Definitely not waterproof This product is definitely not waterproof. I have gone through two of these coats now because I assumed the first coat was defective and exchanged it for another. They both seemed promising at first with beads of water rolling off of them but within a minute or two water begins to absorb and soon enough the coat is soaked through. I expected more from a North Face coat and this evening I will be taking my second coat back and buying a Mountain Equipment Co-op raincoat. Do not buy this if you would like to stay dry.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Took a little while but it was worth it I was looking for a Northface jacket since spring time is coming up and that means lots and lots of rain. I found this website because of a coupon I recieved. I loved the color and style of the rain jacket I ordered. I placed the order on January 23rd and recieved the item on Feburary 10th. So it took a little while but it was well worth it. The date changed a few time but I originally wasnt suppose to recieve it until the 13th. (I got emails throughout letting me know when my order was shipped and theres a link to check its status) There was even a granola bar and Moosejaw sticker inside the package so that was awesome. Funny website and
