Rated 5 out of 5 by from Gift I bought this coat for my granddaughter for Christmas so it is a little too soon to know the quality. The only thing I can say is that she loves it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect fit! Best money I ever spent! I needed a down parka for A trip to Iceland and this worked out perfectly! I would just recommend if you are busty, maybe sizing up. If you wear multiple layers , it will get snug.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very impressed Impressive quality. Comfortable fit. Great color. Fraction of the cost of a Canada goose but very comparable. Love that it doesn’t have real coyote fur and responsibly sourced down.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from An all-around great coat. I love coats and this is one of the best I've owned. It has everything from many pockets to warm wrist cuffs. It is also a wonderful length that prevents cold legs when out in the cold Wisconsin winter.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I had to compare it in order to love it... At first I could not understand why I ordered this parka. I disliked it very much because it reminded me of a very urban look when I tried it on. Perhaps I was thinking about the boxy pockets that are very obvious. I will make a comparison between: TNF Outer Boroughs Parka in Red in a Medium & TNF Arctic Parka 2 Sequoia Red in a Medium. For reference, I am 5'3", roughly 145 - 150 lbs, size 36C chest and wear a size 6 in jeans for most brands. Sizing: Now, for my body, the sizing was much better in this product. This parka was snug with just enough space to fit in a long medium (maybe thick) weight sweater. The Arctic was snug without any extra room therefore the sizing was smaller. ***Also, this parka defines your waist, the Arctic does not.*** Coverage: This one was longer, reaching just at my knees while the Arctic was right above my knees by an inch to an inch and a half. If you get cold like I do then this longer one is nice. And, the back has a nice curve covering just a nitch more. Warmth: This parka is heavier than the Arctic, which I prefer because the New York City winters can be brutal, windy and sharp (I am within a block from the water). I tried this out this evening and can tell you that this is definitely warm. Walking a few blocks to the store proved true against the rain, wind and cold. In fact, I had to unzip this parka because I became too warm in this November weather. The Arctic is lightweight and will not hold up the warmth that this parka offers. Coloring: The Arctic Sequoia offers more of a mature look with that deep almost "browning rust" color. I had to get used to it. It only looks nice, like a wine color, if under the right lighting. Now, it is my perspective that the red in this parka is very loud and young but compared to the Sequoia, it wins. The color is vibrant and fresh unlike the dullness of the Arctic. It attracts attention but, for me, it beats the wave of black and dull jackets everyone else seems to steer towards. Pricing: The higher price for the Boroughs Parka is worth the investment. It will move an additional hundred or so compared to the Arctic but for the heavier, longer, roomier and brighter option, it's great. One thing I can agree on is that the price far outweighs the Canada Goose Parkas. I love them and want one but I just can't justify that purchase because The North Face offers the same comfort and warmth without the hefty price tag. By the way, the Red Boroughs looks very similar to the Red Canada Goose Kensington. In conclusion, I will return the Arctic and will keep this one. I don't regret it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Warm and cute! My favorite winter jacket was stolen from my unlocked car last year, and I've been searching for a replacement ever since. This is perfect - my last jacket was also a north face, but this one is 100000x better. The number and placement of the pockets are great. The coat itself is really cute, and kept me warm in single digit temperatures. Very happy with the purchase!

will out of stock items restock? i don't mind waiting.. :(  i need black in medium. thank you.

Asked by: jiwon
Thanks for the question! Unfortunately, we do not have access to when (or if) more items will become available. My best suggestion is to keep checking back as we do update the site every night. If this is something you need right away, I do see the Medium/ Black is available directly with The North Face. I included a link below. I am sorry I don't have a more exact answer :(

Hi! What temperature limit this parka has? Will it be comfortable at -20 or -30 (celcium) in it? Russia is a very cold place :))) Thanks in advance!

Asked by: carrot
Hiya, thanks for your question! Like most clothing and outerwear, this parka does not have a temperature limit or rating. This is because warmth depends on so many different variables, including activity level, metabolism, perspiration as well as the other clothing layers you are wearing. That said, this is a very warm parka. In fact, it is one of the warmest items that The North Face manufactures. I couldn't tell you if it will be warm enough for your needs, but it is one of the best. Keep in mind that we cannot directly ship this brand outside the US. Sorry about that!

Is there an internal waist cinched to help give it a more feminine look?

Asked by: JennStone
Thanks for the question! Unfortunately, there is not an internal waist cinch. With that being said, there are side waist snaps that are adjustable. Those snaps do help give it a more feminine look. Hope this helps a little!

how functional are the "mitten storm cuffs"?

Asked by: lynnev
Thanks for the question! The cuffs inside will extend over the hands to cover the palm, but allow your thumb through. The purpose is when you are in a pinch and forgot your mitts. They will also help block wind from blowing up your arm. They are a bonus feature in my opinion. I hope this helps!

What’s the difference between this jacket and TNF artic down parka? Thanks!

Asked by: JURH
Hey there, thanks for reaching out to us! From Germany, eh? Freut mich, Sie bei uns zu haben, mein deutscher Freund! So, let's go over the main differences: the OB is going to have a 500 fill goose down, while the Arctic is 550. The OB is slightly heavier at 5 oz / square yard compared to the 5.2 oz / square yard for the Arc. Also, the OB will have a back length of 38" to the Arc's 37.7". That's...about it. If you ask me, the differences are negligible. It's really a question of which one works better with your aesthetic, or, as they say in German, ästhetisch. Hope this helps you out!!
