DWR tech

Durable Water Repellant
DWR (Durable Water Repellent) is a coating that is applied to fabrics which makes them water-resistant, or hydrophobic. A DWR finish doesn't interfere with breathability, which makes it perfect for adverse conditions in the backcountry.

The North Face FuseForm

The North Face FuseForm
FuseForm technology utilizes a weaving process which seamlessly blends thicker threads with lighter fibers. This allows for custom-mapped performance zones that flow effortlessly and minimize weight while giving a clean, stylish look.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from NIce Looking and very warm I like the color and its fits perfectly and not too bulky It is very well made and very warm. I live in Southern California and bought it for a trip to Antarctica. I haven't been able to test it out in extreme cold yet but I think it will work fine

Are there zippered underarm vents on this jacket?

Asked by: Risi
Hey Risi, thanks for asking! No, this item does not have pit zips/underarm vents. You'd be more likely to find that feature on a shell jacket than on an insulated layer. I hope this helps!

I am hiking Mt. Kilimanjaro this summer. Would this jacket work for the summit?

Asked by: LAW5
Hiya LAW5, thanks for your question! This is a hard question to answer because each person tolerates temperatures differently. That said, this jacket is designed for mountaineering, skiing and climbing.... so you should stay warm with proper layering and moderate activity.
