Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great cozy bag I have only used this a few times so far, and only in temps of 40 degrees overnight, but so far it has been a comfy and warm bag. The compression sack is nice and works easily to make the bag travel friendly (although it is definitely more for car camping). I enjoy the hand warmers and extra padding around the head.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Almost perfect Wonderful bag. I'm always afraid of the cold and this bag has kept me warm in the 3 seasons I've slept in it. I wish the color was little darker, grime and dirt is going to show with the light color. On the ocassional backcountry trip, i wish the bag would be more compact.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect, Except Snagging Love this sleeping bag! Super cozy and warm. Plus it's the perfect size for me. (I'm 5'4, 120 lb) Only thing is the zipper snags on the fabric if you're not careful.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My all-purpose bag I talk this bag up everywhere I go, it just works for everything. I've used this bag in temperatures down to 10 degrees and felt warm, (I'm a generally warm person though with good circulation). I wouldn't recommend using it in temps below 10 F but that's still fantastic for a 20 degree bag. My favorite thing about this bag is how amazingly soft the inside fabric is. The one thing I never liked about sleeping in a bag was the crinkly fabric but this bag is like being wrapped in a cloud. I have used this for backpacking, car camping and even slumber parties and it's always a pleasant nights sleep. The one down side is that it is a little heavy and bulky but not anymore so than other synthetic bags, I wouldn't recommend this for an ultralight backpacker but it is a great value. One other thing that is really nice is that the fabric on the outside is nice and easy to spot clean and fairly tear resistant. This is just an all around great bag. Big thumbs up.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Super Excited I used this bag only once so far but I am completely stoked. It was the first time I woke up outrageously hot. My husband in his no name 20* bag, clothed, was comfortable but not too warm. It may have gotten into the 40's. I have been known to double or triple bag to keep warm. ,,,,Size wise, I would not go any smaller. I am 5'6'', weigh 120lbs and there is no room to spare.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Frustrating I purchased this sleeping bag in 2009 and have used it extensively ever since. I am pleased with how it remains dry inside even when the outside of the bag gets soaked with condensation, or otherwise wet. It also stuffs down to a reasonable size. However, there are several other aspects which leave me frustrated. First, it's COLD!!! Despite being rated to -7C, I find that anywhere below +7C I must stuff it inside another sleeping bag in order to be warm enough. Even in the summer I wear woolen longjohns when sleeping with it. Second, the light blue colour shows every speck of dirt, and it stains like crazy. The men's version comes in a much more practical darker blue which makes much more sense when camping. Third, the zipper catches on the baffle repeatedly, making entry and exit a time consuming prospect. Fourth, the velcro neck tab catches and snags on my clothing, leaving pills and runs. Finally, the zippered pocket located at the top of the zipper came unstitched in the wash, caught on something in my machine and ripped off the last time I washed it. I had high hopes for this bag, but unfortunately I won't be buying another.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I Love This Bag More Than My Husband I did a bit of research before I selected this bag. I ultimately chose it because OutdoorGearLab gave it the title of "Best Buy" and it has been a bag The North Face has been making for years. I recently used it car camping in the Adirondacks, where the nights were about 42 degrees. It more than lived up to my expectations. It was very warm and comfortable. While this is my first mummy bag, I found it very roomy and I could sleep on my side no problem. The size also fit perfectly with my Thermarest Trail Pro Mattress (Regular). The only downside for me was that I'm accustomed to having the zipper on the left, so it took a little getting used zipping on the right. All in all this bag really lives up to it's name.
