Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Jacket Bought this for a warm, more casual coat. It is very warm. It could be a bit longer, but I am also have a very long torso. It comes to just below my rear. It is light and not bulky, yet warm for cold MN winters. I bought the asphalt gray and it is great, almost black in the correct light.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Looks fashionable, but cut of neck is too flawed This is by far the cutest, most fashionable parka around thanks to the flattering stitching around the middle. The Brit Blue color is absolutely gorgeous. HOWEVER, don't buy it if you want to have it zipped up - ever. The cut of the neck pulls the top of the collar either into your chin, or into your neck, even if the hood is up. It should also be noted that the description says it hits at the thigh. I am very short waisted, and it came just to the very bottom of my tush, and very top of my thighs in front. I looked cute with it unzipped, but I needed something that fulfilled its function as a parka more than a fashion statement. Returned for a longer parka with less fashionable stitching. Size ran true...if you don't count the hot mess of a neck line.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful! I have already gotten lots of compliments on how pretty this coat is. It’s very comfortable, covers my butt, and is great for mild winter weather. When it’s super cold, I will need smart wool or Under Armour under it for any extended outdoor adventures. It runs a little small, so I kind of wish I had gone a size up.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I LOVE my new coat!!! I bought this coat for 30-40 degree temps and it is perfect! Lightweight but warm and so happy I bought a coat with a hood. I am 5 feet tall and 110 lbs and bought the XS. It fits great and even room for layering. I love that it covers my butt but it's not too long! Moosejaw was great to work with and will order here again!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Comfortable, sleek and warm! I bought this a month ago and I am thrilled with my purchase. Warm and not bulky like most winter coats! I would recommend this coat to anyone.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Waste of money I've had this jacket for a week and worn it three times. It has feathers poking out all over the jacket and looks terrible. During my three wears I have worn it to walk from my car into school. Nothing that should cause this many feathers to come out. Jacket otherwise fits great but way too high priced for this kind of durability.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Well worth the price! I bought the aconcagua parka last month (for myself), I was looking for a little longer in the torso, love the length, hits right below my glutes(!), no more cold air up my back. Color is amazing too.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great jacket I bought this as an early Christmas for my wife. It extends past the waist, narrower on the torso, and warm in our mild VA winter so far..

Hello my name is Ahdia I wear a XL in the OSO jacket should I get the same size for the down jacket or go a size up?

Asked by: Ahdia
Hi there, thanks for your question! This parka has an active/slim fit and will be more form fitting, however, I would still suggest getting your usual size. Hope this helps!

What is the length of a Large? What is the length of an Extra Large?

Asked by: sandi
Hiya sandi, good question! The Large is going to be about 29.5 inches and the XL will be about 30 inches in length. Hoe this helps!

is the jacket tapered at the waist? It's hard to tell when not on a model.

Asked by: deba
Hiya deba, thanks for your question! The pattern of the baffles on the sides give this jacket a slimmer appearance when it is being worn. The waist is slightly tapered, about an inch on each side (on size medium). Hope this helps!

I ordered an XL in another style and it was huge. But the size chart and true fit tells me I should wear an XL. I don't have much of a waist or hips, so that's not the problem - across the chest I measure 42, but only wear a 36D bra. Help?

Asked by: sandi
Hiya sandi, thanks for your question! I asked two of my office mates to try on this parka. Both of them felt that the arm length was a little short but the parka fit was true-to-size. One of them said that The North Face usually runs large on her so you might want to size up. It depends on if you plan to wear bulky items underneath. Hope this helps!

The description says this jacket is "thigh" length, but where on the thigh does it hit....upper thigh, mid thigh? I have looked at some other North Face jackets that appear to be the same length as this one, and their length description says "hip". Thanks

Asked by: Leeriley70
Thanks for the question! The Aconcagua Parka is not as long as the name implies. I would say upper thigh, or just below the hips. Hope this helps a little!

Is the hood adjustable - does it have draw strings? I have a small head and many hoods just droop down and cover my face ;)

Asked by: sandi
HIya sandi, thanks for your question! The hood is not adjustable. It is fixed and there are no drawstrings. Sorry about that!
