Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Tent! Used this tent for a full year before I thought I would give it a review. My wife and I used it many times in a lot of different weather, including a couple of nights of heavy rain. We didn't get wet, I will admit though there was a little water on the edges that got into the tent, but this is probably because of how much rain we got and had stuff against the side. The one thing I wasn't expecting with this tent was how much my wife loved the amount of screen there is all around and whenever possible never wants to use it with the fly. The setup is easy, but I find once you really get used to it you can easily set up in less than 5 min. Overall great tent that does exactly what it says at a price that can't be beat for the quality, and weight.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from All around excellence! Just used this tent for a great climbing trip. Easy to set up, perfect for two people, with a bit of outside storage for the gear. Quick take-down is a bonus.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from TALUS 2 - PERFECT ALL-AROUND Purchased this tent for a placement for an older Kelty Acadia to take into the GRSM on weekend retreats. Setup was smooth and quick and took less than six minutes. Size is perfect for me(5'11/180) and my wife (5'2/125) with both packs. Storage net in the center is excellent for light equipment and a light. The tent has one main door and a small access door, the smaller door works great for keeping the footwear out of the tent and still protected by the fly. As purchased the pack is slightly less than 5lbs which is easy for me to carry in my Gregory Zulu 40L along with bag, sleeping pad, and my Jetboil. We had moderate winds above the Deep Creek camping area and rains the first night. The Talus performed as expected. No issues at all with handling winds and solid rain for 5+ hours, end of the weather event - no leaks, rock solid - great two person tent. Talus comes with a tent pad which is nice, it is a little thin. We were very pleased with our first trial of fire of the Talus and I don't think you can find a better value for the money and the quality. This was exactly what we were looking for.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very Satisfied Setup is pretty straight forward on this bad boy, the tent and rain fly have a red tab on one corner which is helpful to get the rain fly correctly oriented on the first attempt. the tent poles and steaks are anodized aluminium. the included ground tarp, although thin, is a nice addition. I wanted to put this tent through several scenarios before giving it a review, so after having it for a year i can say i am very satisfied. It was put to the test once when i went island camping with 2 buddies who only brought hammocks, it began to thunderstorm that night, and this two person tent ended up holding 3 grown men, much to my dismay! it rained hard for several hours and not a drop leaked into the tent. On a annual February canoe trip I used this tent again (with a thermarest pad and Marmot 20 degree mummy bag) when temperatures reached 29 and i can say i stayed warm. the rain fly helped retain alot of heat i believe. I plan to use this tent this summer for a few more river trips where i hope to leave the rain fly off and enjoy the view of the night sky from the tents multiple screens.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from BOMER TENT Hands down a bomber tent! Its my go-to for adventures of all types and climates. From blizzard conditions to windy beach days, its held up nicely with no complaints so far. I'd like to mention two tests I put this tent through that stuck out to me. 1.)In a torrential downpour this tent will undoubtedly keep you protected. I was setup in about two inches of water and not a drop got in through the rain fly. I did experience some wetting of the floor but with a small towel it was very manageable and held up throughout the entire night. I could feel the water running underneath the tent which made it feel like I was sleeping on a waterbed - very cool. 2.)East Coast blizzard of 2016 Jonas, was her second serious test and boy did her performance surprise me. This tent is rated for three - seasons by The North Face, but I must beg to differ. This 3-seasoner held up for about 12 hours of non-stop snow and gail force winds without being dug out. The tent did begin to sag a bit from all sides due to the amount of snow that was accumulating, but for having a three-season rating I was surprised she was still even standing after all that time being dumped on. Once dug out the tent bounced back to the original shape and continued to hold up through the rest of the storm.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great buy! Deciding between this and another tent-so glad I went with this one! Not only was it light-but so roomy. It was an easy set up, and price friendly. Could easily take it backpacking, but excited to use it for car camping as well. Nice job North Face!
