The North Face Stormbreak 2 Tent is a two person tent for the local campground or hoofing it in the backcountry. The tent body clips to the poles via clips, making setup and teardown fast. The color-coding on the tent body and rain fly make rainy day pitches a snap so you can create a dry space to hunker down in. The dual doors and vestibules make sharing easier, so you and your buddy can come and go as you please, without having to crawl over each other or gear. Plenty of headroom makes dressing in the morning a little easier before taking off on the next trail.

Products on Sale are Discontinued Styles or Colors.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love the tent I used the tent for the first time and had to set up in the dark. The color coding really helped and the tent went up in minutes. Temperatures went down to 10 degrees and windy and the tent performed wonderfully. I am new to the tent world but I would recommend that the North Face consider using small "pockets" on the fly where the fly support bars could go. This would keep the ends of the bars in the reinforced areas of the fly and make set up that much easier.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Performed perfectly on recent multi-day cycling trips! Replaced my 10-year-old Eureka 2-man with this in preparation for a solo 7-day self-contained bicycle trip on the Great Allegheny Passage (GAP) and Chesapeake & Ohio (C&O) Canal towpath bike trails. Tent set-up and tear-down was quick and easy each day. Quality construction and materials. Color-coding on ground sheet, tent and rain fly is very helpful when setting up. Bought the 2-person for the extra room inside but the vestibules created by the rain fly offer a lot of storage on both sides of the tent and would have kept gear stored outside of the tent safe and dry. Replaced the (steel?) stakes that came with the tent with aluminum ones and bought enough to cover all of the various tie-downs. Stayed dry in steady rain one night and would have no doubts the tent would remain stable in high-wind conditions. Bravo North Face on an excellent and affordable product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Absolutely love this tent I have had my stormbreaker for several years and haven't felt the need to write a review until now. This tent has been with me from the appellation trail to back yard party's to beaches along rivers. It is very simple to set up. The reason it took me several years to write this review was for me to get many uses out of it. Unexpectedly I just put the name stormbreaker to the test. I was caught in a down pour of about two inches of rain and extreme wind. I tend to keep the tent on a tarp with the attempt to keep the bottom cleaner but with all the rain the tarp just held all of the water under my tent. In the morning I woke up completely dry the floor and rain fly did not let in any water. My only problem was with all the wind the rain fly pulled out a few of the stakes for the vestibule. I absolutely love this tent would recommend it to everyone and definitely buy another when the time come.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Terrible poles and customer service After living in this tent for a month, both poles have snapped while it has been pitched. Not during rain or wind, just by simply being set up. One snapped while I moved around on my air mattress. I emailed North Face about the problem, and they were unwilling to replace the poles without first inspecting them. The issue is that I cannot send my poles in while living in the tent. I'm very unhappy with the product and with North Face's customer service. While the price is good, you will soon be replacing the product. Please stay away!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Super light and very easy setup. I bought this about a month ago and looked at many other tents. This tent is a great value.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Went cheap on stakes Decent tent, but only had eight cheap, easily bendable stakes for fourteen tiedown points. Guess they wanted to save 50 cents each.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Recomended Really nice tent. Used on the winds, snow and rains of Patagonia... it worked out perfectly! Also very spacious to keep the packs inside of the tent to protect them from the weather conditions.

Does this tent require a "footprint" to keep you dry?

Asked by: ollie16
Thanks for the question! Altho not required, it is highly recommended to use a footprint. Not only will it keep the bottom of the tent dry, it helps protect the floor of the tent from abrasion. It really comes down to personal preference and where you will be using the tent. If you don't want to spend the extra money on the footprint, you could always just use a tarp or even an old tablecloth. I included a link to the matching footprint below. I hope this helps a little! https://www.moosejaw.com/moosejaw/shop/product_The-North-Face-Stormbreak-2-Footprint_10236478_10208_10000001_-1_
