Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very useful item, with a sizing issue First used when encountering 45F breezy and light rain conditions while cycling, I was very impressed with how much rain & wind they kept off my hands. I did notice some spots were already wetting through on my palms after that ride, so I suggest the DWR coating will need recharging fairly often, and that their best use is for running, to avoid undue rubbing of the material. My one complaint is the overly small wrist opening, and I'd like longer wrist coverage, with light elastic sewn in on the upper wrist -- rather than the small opening -- to help keep it in place while allowing use with slightly thicker gloves. Offer a XXL size, also!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great outer shell for hands Excellent North Face construction. No surprise there. Worked great. Hands stayed dry on rainy hike and added several degrees of warmth. water will not run in because wrist is tight and somewhat stretchy making a decent seal. I do wish the wrist cuff was a little wider and had a way to cinch down. That way it could also be used as a waterproof shell over a medium-thick down or fleece gloves. I was able to get then over a thin pair of liner gloves and that makes them very useful for adding warmth while keeping hands dry.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Too small for bigger hands I bought the XL to use as another layer while winter running, but these barely fit over my hands, even without other gloves. Too bad because otherwise they seem like they would work as I intended.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best running mitt EVER I bought these specifically for running in the cold brutal Wisconsin winters. The mitt layers perfectly with my original TNF running gloves and now my hands stay toasty warm! First time in 20 years of running in the WI cold that I haven't returned to the house with frozen fingers. Love these!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Totally Wind & Weather Proof I have chronically cold hands no matter how thick or warm my gloves are. Now, for warm hands, all I need are a pair of 25-40 deg liners and these over mitts. My hands have never been so warm while running and I cant wait to bring them on trail with me this summer--they are super light weight, and won't add hardly any weight to my pack. The pair I ordered was a size too big, so I'm exchanging them for a smaller size. Eagerly awaiting the arrival of my new mitts. Thanks north face!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Too big Sent back was not what I was looking for and didn't fit me right. I looked at the sizing guide and according to measurements I needed a small but it was too long and it's too tight around the wrists.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good to keep hands dry I used this product on a cold winter morning run and it kept my hands warm and wind from coming through my gloves. We later used it when my fiancée was cleaning up from the 2016 blizzard. It kept his gloves dry and hands warms.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from nice over glove seems to be really nice. yet to try it b/c of extreme cold that we are experiencing. recommend to size up since mitt fits over any existing glove that you may be wearing.

What is the size on these? Would it fit a glove size 7? Thanks!

Asked by: catmac
Hiya, thanks for your question! The size is determined by the circumference (circumference of your hand across the knuckles with a tape measure) and length of the hand (from wrist to the tip of the middle finger). The hand circumference for size XS measures 6.5 - 7 inches and the length is 5.5 - 6.5 inches. Hope this helps!
