Since then PrimaLoft has been a leader in insulation and fabric technologies in the outdoor industry, and is used by the top outerwear and clothing brands to craft pieces that offer warmth without bulky weight, packablity, and both water resistance and breathability for all your outdoor adventures.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice Jacket But Not Perfect I bought this Thermoball jacket for the winter. I was looking for something that wasn't bulky and also allowed for good range of movement. The sleeves allow for great flexibility which is one of the things that attracted me to this jacket. I've had a North Face Thermoball jacket before which I wore in the winter here in Chicago so I thought this one would be just as warm. While the core part of the jacket (chest/back) is insulated and warm, the wind whips through the sleeves. I've had to wear insulated fleece hoodies underneath this jacket once the temperature dropped under 30 degrees but I can still feel the wind on my arms. Since the temperatures are only going to get colder as the winter progresses, I don't think I'll be able to wear this as my main coat throughout the winter. So far I've worn it in temps in the upper teens. If you prefer Thermoball, go with the Thermoball Hooded Jacket which has insulated sleeves as well if you live in a cold climate. Honestly the lack of insulation in the sleeves is my only gripe with this jacket. I don't mind layering in the winter, I tend to do so even with fully insulated coats because the windchill in Chicago frequently is below freezing in the winter. But the added layers still fail to keep my arms warm in the cold with this particular style. Overall I'd still recommend this jacket but not for extremely cold temperatures.
