Rated 5 out of 5 by from Triclimate Snow Jacket I bought this jacket right before the air temperature dropped below -5 and the windchill below -25. This jacket is the warmest and most comfortable I have ever owned. The combination of outside pockets, including a strange but useful pocket on the left forearm, and the inside pockets provide a lot of flexibility. I am 5'9" and 160 lbs and I would normally purchase a medium. However, I used the "find my size" link and it recommended a small. I purchased the small and I'm glad I did. It is true to size based on the link but larger than the size I normally purchase. Trust the link, not necessarily the size you would normally purchase. Awesome jacket that's worth the price.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Transformational Truth about the Thermoball This transformational Thermoball is a must have in the cold climes as well as not so could times. This new addition has revolutionized my winter gears. It is comfortable and cozy and fits perfectly. I was especially concerned about the arm length when I purchased it, but upon trying the Thermoball I found it to be the right length. I like the fact that it is great for wet weather as well as cold. If you are looking for a jacket to keep you warm and comfortable, look no further. If you are looking for a winter jacket of the finest material and of a durable quality, the Thermoball is beyond a shadow of a doubt the jacket to get.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Parkaliscious The Thermoball is amazing! Got stuck in the rain and cold first day I wore it, I was the only dry and warm member of our party... Still early in the season to wear the rest of it but I can't see how the shell is worse at keeping out water then the Thermoball. When we got back to our car I took off the Thermoball, shook it off and the rain drops were all gone. p.s. Nice touches are the over sized pockets inside the Thermoball. The pockets go inside of the Thermoball so your hands stay nice and warm. My neck is pretty big at 19" and I was comfortable with it zipped all the way up. Will review again later this winter after using the whole system.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The VERY BEST This was a gift to myself. My 20 year old North Face jacket was in perfect shape except: no longer waterproof. And in Patagonia. And in wet, very cold weather. Added this jacket to my wardrobe: PERFECT and it is stylish, flexible, warm. We were on a photo expedition, my wife says she could easily find me perched on some cliff. When you put this jacket on (actually any combination of jackets), it is like getting a new camera: it ups your game!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Well made and comfortable This is a great jacket. The zip out lining is handy as I wear the liner only unless i'm going skiing. The jacket has great features including the helmet compatible and removable hood (one reviewer criticized the hood obviously not understanding the use for it), iPod pocket with headphone wire hole and guide loop, arm vents, and snow skirt. The only change I would make to this jacket it to make the snow skirt usable with the liner zipped in to the shell. The way the it is made now, the liner has to be zipped to itself essentially making you wear the shell and liner as 2 individual jackets.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Hood not useful, runs large, and heavy shell I ordered this online and returned it as soon as I got it for three reasons. 1. This runs large. I normally wear a medium, but the medium in this jacket fit me like a tent. 2. The shell is very heavy. I wanted something lighter. 3. The hood is much too large, is not lined like the shell (so I would have to wear a hat under it to keep my head warm in cold and snowy weather), and has no drawstring to close it. There are some tiny cinch cords, but they're awkward to use and don't close the hood snugly. I really wanted to like this jacket. The quality is excellent and it looks great, but it just didn't work for me.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great jacket for cold Canadian winters, minus the hood. I just got this jacket a couple weeks ago and I would admit, I like it, minus the hood. The hood is obviously designed to fit over a helmet, however it would be nice if it was insulated. Without the insulated hood, I have to wear a hat. My previous winter jacket did not require this. I read the issues about the armpits angled to high or the sleeves being long, however in my opinion, those features help eliminate cold spots and provide more warmth so I would not worry about them. Other than the issue with the hood, I walked 2 kilometers in -20 celsius (-30 wind chill) weather with a few extra layers (fleece + sweater) and only noticed the cold on my cheeks. If they sold an insulated hood for this jacket (that came separately) I most certainly would buy it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Versatility at its best i got this jacket for 2 weeks now. its a great all in one! u can take the outer shell off if its not raining and u have a nice thermoball layer that is thin yet keeps you warm. or you can use only the outer layer when its raining, yet not cold. the outer shell is thick and feels strong, and has an inner mesh on the inside. it also has a zipper to open up around the armpit area for better breath ability. the only thing that got me to question if i should buy it was the fact that the thermoball does not fold into its own pocket. i dont know why they decided not to add that feature to this thermoball which would have been practical for spring and fall when the weather is unpredictable. having said all that, i would still buy it again. it really is an amazing versatile jacket and i love the colors and the pockets !
