Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Jacket, just what I was looking for! Bought this jacket to travel to cold climates this winter. I just used it in the Blue Ridge Mountains in Georgia in 30 degree temperatures and it was great! It's light and doesn't take up much room in my suitcase but still cuts the wind. Headed to Chicago and Bend, OR in the coming months with confidence in my Thremoball. Only fault I can find in it is not enough pockets and the two pockets that it does have the zippers are a little sticky. But over all a great buy, I would definitly buy it again.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Need Tall Sizes Sad to say that I will be returning this jacket because it does not fit my tall slender frame. Not long enough for me, again. I saw that cabelas carried a few select tall items from the North Face, but the selection was limited and not quite my style. The size guide did choose the correct torso for me (large), but then the arms were too short. Patagonia has the same problem, no tall sizes. I guess I have to just keep going back to boring old L.L. Bean as they seem to be the only company that loves the longer bodied athletes out there.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great shell but no frills I purchased this jacket for use shooting skeet and trap on Long Island this winter, where conditions have been fierce. This shell is very warm, definitely cuts the wind, and is good for anything less than a torrential downpour. Unfortunately, is does not compress well and has only two, small outside hand pockets. For this price, at least an interior pocket would be nice. Overall, I would recommend this product, especially in wet and cold conditions.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Order one size up I am a definite thermoball fan, after speaking with several of the shop staff about the differences in comparisons between down versus synthetic thermoball. Regardless of what they advised, I have about four or five sitting in my closet right now. I wear a medium and it fits just right as a L3 or L4. For this thermal ball snow, the shower feels completely different, it is a very different jacket all together. It is neither us elastic or is flexible, hence you will need a larger size for you to move around, but that that is the very reason in which people order this one, the shell exterior is definitely thicker and more durable, as the regular thermalballs feel the same and sleeping bags

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome jacket!! I bought the first Thermoball Snow Hoodie when Northface released it and I just recently got the new version. Both are awesome jackets!! My only complaint on the first version is the zipper would often get stuck on the zipper flaps. Other than that it's so warm!! I live in Northern New Mexico where winters are cold and it snows often. I've worn it in very cold conditions and it performs great!! The more I move the warmer I am. No need for layering much underneath either of them. The zipper flaps got removed on the second version (very nice plus!) its also a bit more puffy and more padded on elbows and shoulders than the first version. I'm very happy with both of them!! I buy a lot of northface gear and the Thermoball Snow Hoodie is fantastically warm and lightweight!! Absolutely worth the price!! You'll be happy you you got one!!
