The North Face Men's Snowsquall Mid is a lightweight snow boot for taking on snowy trails, winter walks, and even a little bit of shoveling. The Snowsquall Mid comes up two to three fingers above the ankle, resting higher up for ample support while walking as well as helping deter snow from finding it's way inside. The upper toe is a compression-molded EVA half shell, which not only reduces weight but still provides much needed durability as you trudge across snow-covered ground. The remainder of the boot is constructed from a waterproof nubuck and ballistic mesh upper for additional flexibility and movement and a HydroSeal® waterproof membrane for dry feet. The zonal insulation in the boot uses Primaloft® Eco, 400g in the forefoot and toes with 200g throughout the remainder. This provides extra warmth where you need it most, and a little less where you don't. Super handy. The rubber outsole is made from TNF™ Winter Grip® and IcePick® temperature sensitive lugs for steady, grippy action over wet, snowy, and icy terrain.
