Rated 3 out of 5 by from I would get a single purpose jacket instead Contrary to what the description states, this jacket does NOT in fact have an internal media-security pocket. The zippers on the TNF Black version are trimmed in light grey (matching the colour of the TNF logo on the front and back), rendering the product image innaccurate. The hood is also unwieldy to use for non-helmeted conventional use. The lining clings to my clothing and doesn't seem as though it's very durable - it just feels kind of cheap, really. I wish I had simply purchased a non triclimate single purpose jacket instead, as the lining clings so heavily to any other long sleeved clothing I wear that it makes it a real pain to put on and take off.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A good Jacket over all!! I got this jacket as a gift from my girlfriend for my birthday, first off it wasn't my choice of jacket to begin with but you make due with what your given. i wanted to save the hassle of returning this jacket back to the online store since my girlfriend really appreciated it. So I decided to test run this jacket in -30 degree Celsius weather with an added windshield of -45 in the mighty cold Saskatchewan mid January weather. Great time to test any jacket! My first impressions of this jacket is nothing more then a satisfactory jacket, the fit of the jacket was of a relax fit and the sizing are correct to my body size. From the first few minute in the saskatchewan tundra the cold creeped in as expected (for a light fleece soft shell). The outter shell pretty much froze up shortly there after. Leaving the jacket not retaining much heat and useless for intentions of skiing and snowboarding or outdoor use in colder weather. On the upside the jacket is very good at being windproof which is expected on most TNF jackets of this caliber. My expectations weren't that of disappointment nor exceeding by no means. The thing with this jacket its not designed for extreme winters of -45, I decided to upgrade the fleece liner with a Thermoball softshell and went back into the mighty cold weather. This time around the jacket worked very well to the point i was pleasantly surprised with the soft shell upgrade. i took the jacket for a 3km walk around our city park to see if i would get cold or not. To my surprise it was able to keep me warm and comfortable threw out the walk. The hardshell worked extremely well with the upgraded Thermoball shell, it did harden up a little but not enough to have any concerns of loosing heat. Over all this jacket with the fleece liner would work excellent in weather up to -15 degree but after that I would switch the fleece liner to a Thermoball shell.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Light and warm This is my first 3 in 1 Triclimate jacket in about 10 years. I love these jackets because of the convenience of being able to just launder the inside fleece without having to degrading the integrity of the shell. The jacket was everything I was looking for to replace a larger jacket I had owned for the past decade and found too cumbersome for snowboarding while in sub freezing conditions as my skill progressed. When I apply the proper layering underneath it stays warm and breathable in down to near 0 degree Fahrenheit temperatures with substantial windchill. I have also spent an entire day shoveling snow with it in around 15 degree Fahrenheit temperatures and just a t shirt underneath with no problems. The one issue I have with this jacket, which has also been mentioned by other reviewers is that the inner fleece does not stay put as well as the previous 3 in 1 jackets I have owned in the past and tends to shift around when putting it on or taking it off. I can see this being an issue of possible excessive wear on the bungee tethers attached to the outer shell in the future. But for very seasonal jacket that gets limited use with a lifetime warranty it is not a very big issue for me.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from This jacket performs exactly as billed. Only issue is the fleece inside jacket is too big to wear by itself. Sleeves are way too long.
