Rated 5 out of 5 by from Now my "go to" parka on the ski hill! My wife bought me this parka as an early birthday gift. We just bought a ski condo in N. Idaho (Schweitzer Ski Resort) and after a very "arctic" winter, I needed a warmer parka. Love this parka!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Seems Legit I purchased this for myself in preparation for my family's move to Boston, after trying the large. I am 6' 180lbs and the medium fit me perfectly. I really like the length and the jacket feels incredibly comfortable. I'm excited to try out this jacket in the cold of the North East this winter. Will update when I've had some experience there.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Disappointed I am 5'6" and weighs about 165-170 lbs with athletic type body. I usually wear medium for everything and ordered a medium. However I am very disappointed with the sizing even though the chart suggested medium. It was lose allover and the arms were atleast 3 inches long. I exchanged with a small but was disappointed again. The armpits were too tight however overall fit was okay. Arm length was good too but, since this is a parka style jacket, the jacket (small) was tight around my waist and I couldn't walk without opening half of the zipper from bottom. Moreover, arms feel cold and if you fully zip up it get's uncomfortable to wear unless you wear the hoody. This jacket has so many faults...! However, it looks stylish and I am sure a Small would fit me well if I was 5'10. I have tried many jackets this season trying to find a good fit but none fits me well so far and have returned atleast 4 different jackets. Very disappointed with the sizing of NF.

What is the best size for someone who is 6'2", Chest 37", weighs 150 lbs. and waist is 35". My son attends school up in Burlington, VT and needs a very warm coat for walking around campus and in town.

Asked by: Anna
Hiya, thanks for your question! I had my office mate, Pauly J, try on this jacket. His measurements are similar to your son. He really liked the fit of size Small. This jacket runs a bit large but it fit Pauly J well. If your son plans on wearing many layers or prefers a baggy fit, check out the Moosejaw Men's Mt. Elliott Insulated Waterproof Jacket. It is available in Medium Tall, which might be better for your son if he has long arms. My office mate also tried on this jacket for a comparison. He really digs the thumb holes! You can find that jacket here: http://www.moosejaw.com/moosejaw/shop/product_Moosejaw-Men-s-Mt-Elliott-Insulated-Waterproof-Jacket_10263122_10208_10000001_-1_ Pauly J says that if he had to pick one, he would choose the small The North Face Far Northern Parka.. but it depends on the kind of fit your son prefers. Hope this helps!
